Profiting On Loss…

God bless the tabloids. Without them we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the vicarious heartbreak of out actor Matt Lucas’ divorce:

Little Britain star Matt Lucas cut a sad figure yesterday as he was pictured without his wedding ring for the first time since his divorce from Kevin McGee was announced.

And to add insult to injury, Lucas seemed to be adding to his pain with a trip to the dentist.

The usually jovial comedian looked uncharacteristically sombre as he stepped out in a casual blazer and jeans.

Whatever. If Lucas really cared, he’d let us all see his puffy, tear stained eyes.

Feed the beast, Lucas! Feed the beast…

    He needs some sun.

    And some hair.

Now isn’t that a racist comment. I’m not going to take offense but I know were it the other way around that would be the line being used.

He has a medical condition, thus his lack of hair and pale skin. I don’t remember the name of that condition but it’s affected him since he was quite young I think.

    Ah, that explains it.

I wouldn’t have thought as much, since I recall him having hair during one of his Little Britain skits (which, I assume, must have been a wig).

As for that comment from No. 2 (how fitting, btw), It’s not at all racist to suggest that someone would look better w/ a tan. Likewise, I think over-tanning looks bad. So, shut your beer-hole.

His condition is called Alopecia Areata Totalis.

“But for Lucas, 30, it has been a long, and often tortuous road to success. Born into a middle-class family in Stanmore, Middlesex, he had a happy upbringing until the age of six, when he was hit by a car. The shock made him lose his hair, and although it briefly grew back, it fell out again soon afterwards.

“It was, he recalls, a cruel lesson. ‘That was the only trick God played on me,’ he says. ‘To give me back my hair and then take it away for good.'”

  • Paul Raposo

Excuse me–Alopecia Areata Universalis. The above means no hair on one’s head. This one means no body hair whatsoever. As far as his pale skin; he’s British.

Here’s hoping the dentist gave him some sweet painkillers.

Poor Matt. I love his fat, bald as$.

  • Nick

Shouldn’t he be adding injury to his insult? How is it insulting to go the dentist? Unless your dentist is passive aggressive like mine.
