Kenneth Starr, the attorney who was involved somehow with President Bill Clinton at one point in the last century, will after six years leave his dean post at Pepperdine University’s law school to become president of Baylor University in Texas. You know Starr best, however, as the attorney representing Yes On 8 who successfully argued Prop 8’s legality before the California Supreme Court. As for Mr. Starr’s campus involvement, we fully expect him to complete a cameo role in Baylor’s annual Broadway-style, Glee-esque performance show All University Sing, because dude puts on a good act.

From a fairly small conservative Christian school (Pepperdine) to the largest Baptist university in the world. Probably a good match for this asshole. He should be more comfortable in Texas than he was in California. I would say that Liberty and Regent might be jealous, but he is probably too progressive for them.

Well a really really really good reason for Texas’ governor to proceed with his secession efforts!
(To me, instead of Texas leaving the Union, I’d much prefer kicking their asses out of the Union!)

It is certainly free publicity for Baylor U. First time I have heard of this place. Must be a safety school for the tea-party crowd.

He is like a bad case of foot fungus. He fades from view for awhile but then reappears as bad as ever.
Baylor Student
As a Baylor student myself, I would like to point out that not all of us are happy about this. I’m just as pissed off as you guys are. He’s going to represent my university as a homophobic backwards-thinking school and only reinforce the current image of Baylor as ultra-conservative capitol of the world. Many of my fellow students and I demonstrated outside yesterday while Starr gave his speech.
Please don’t assume that the entire student body (or faculty) is behind him, he’s pretty much split the campus right down the middle already. Maybe have some sympathy for us instead?

@Baylor Student ah, mam I feel sorry for you guys. That must suck.
@Mike in Asheville, nee “in Brooklyn” when you said this:
