Queens Middle-School Teacher May Have Been Killed By Online Date

david rangelA New York man has been discovered dead in his apartment, and police believe his killer may have been someone he met on a gay hookup site.

Schoolteacher David Rangel, 53, was found strangled to death in his home in Queens on Saturday, January 26.

According to the New York Daily News:

Investigators removed a computer from Rangel’s apartment Monday. On Friday, the last day he was seen alive, Rangel posted a light-hearted stream of funny photos, cartoons and nature shots on his Facebook page.

On Monday, students and faculty were in mourning at the Paul Klapper Middle School in Flushing, Queens, where  Rangel taught Spanish.
