Next magazine, New York’s weekly guide to gay life, is teaming up with queer-fanboy group Geeks Out on the second Annual Next Comic-Con Cover contest, which invites artists to submit work for an upcoming Next celebrating the upcoming New York Comic Con, the second largest pop-culture convention in the U.S.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a seasoned veteran with tons of publications under your belt or just a comic fan who has a knack for action scenes: Everyone is welcome to be a part of this celebration of gay geekdom.
Entries will be accepted here until high noon on September 14. Even if you’re not an artist, you can go to Next‘s Facebook page to vote for your favorite pieces. The top five submissions will be reviewed by a team of judges and the winner will grace Next‘s October 5 cover, while the artist will appear as a special guest at the Geeks Out booth at Comic Con.
So what are you waiting for: Artists Assemble!
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

This is pretty awesome!
FYI, there is a queer themed comic-con, it’s called Bent-Con and it’s happening November 30th, December 1st and 2nd, in Los Angeles, California. This is the third year for the event. Attendance last year topped 2,000 people. More are expected this year.
