2 Latina Trans Women Share their Stories of Living with Bipolar Disorder

from: National LGBTQ Task Force ·
Learn about the stories of Victoria Rodríguez-Roldán and Kayley Margarite Whalen, two trans Latina staff members of the National LGBTQ Task Force who live with bipolar disorder.

LGBTQ people are especially vulnerable to poor mental health because of societal and family rejection, economic inequality and healthcare discrimination.

We believe that advocacy, discussion and policy decisions on mental illness must be led by people with mental illnesses. Today and every day we are working to empower LGBTQ advocates with disabilities, including bipolar disorder, to take leadership in the work to end stigma, discrimination and violence against our communities.
