New Orleans is rich with dance and music history. Second line parades are one of the best ways for locals and tourists to experience one of the city's greatest traditions.

Drawing some of its origins from West African circle dances, second line started in New Orleans' Congo Square when slaves didn't have to work. They would play drums, dance and enjoy their time off. Modern second lining is still a part of the city's cultural heritage and parades are held year-round at a variety of events in the city.

In episode three of Out in GayCities season four, Max Emerson and Kyle Krieger go on a New Orleans scavenger hunt to follow their fire, follow their fun, and follow their rhythm. Watch at the muscular duo learn to cast glass, take a bike tour of the city, and get a second line lesson from Darryl "Dancing Man 504" Young!
