Adam Shankman ("Glee," "Rock of Ages") and "Glee" star Darren Criss appeared together for their 3rd Trevor Live event, and met up with Tyler Oakley and Shira Lazar on the star-studded red carpet before the show.
Together, they talked about how their show, "Glee," addresses issues of anti-bullying and gay stereotypes and give advice to young people seeking a supportive and welcoming community. They also tease the upcoming "Glee" Christmas episode.
The Trevor Project's mission of supporting LGBT youth, along with bullying and suicide prevention, was at the forefront of this year's Trevor Live LA event, which benefited the Trevor 24/7 free and confidential helpline. This year's Trevor Hero honoree was singer Katy Perry, who had asked to perform with Criss after finding out he would be performing in the show.
