Another musician is in trouble for comments made on social media: Rapper Azealia Banks got into a Twitter battle with gossip queen Perez Hilton yesterday, calling him “a messy faggot” and “dickbreath” and suggesting “[you] should just kill yourself.”
It all started, ironically, when Hilton—who’s sworn off the hateration himself—criticized Banks for feuding with other artists. “Some of your music is cute, but your attention-seeking ways are pathetic and hurtful. You drag while others choose to uplift!”
Banks, who is reportedbly bisexual, replied, “Whatever bitch, you tried to sign me to ur little bum ass label in ’11 with them bullsshit ass artists…” and later tweeting, “omg u should just kill yourself… Like for real… lol what a messy faggot you are.”
Don’t call GLAAD just yet, though. Banks insists she wasn’t insulting gay men: “A faggot is not a homosexual male,” she tweeted. “A faggot is any male who acts like a female. There’s a BIG difference…. When I said acts like I female I should’ve said acts like a c*nt.”

It seems counter-intuitive that a bisexual woman would be homophobic but it shouldn’t really surprise. Look closer at them – their bisexuality is often an artifice invented by straight guys for the purpose of titillating straight guys and does not reflect any connection to our cause.

I have to say I’m just a tiny bit shocked that so many people think it fine and dandy to use a pejorative term like faggot, if its directed towards someone that have a personal dislike for (in this case Perez Hilton).
I must have read the rules wrongly. I apologise. I had absolutely no idea we could tailor tolerance of homophobic behaviour around the peculiarities of our own likes and dislikes of people.
