Video of a man, who many believe is hip hop artist Young Buck, hooking up with a trans woman surfaced online over the weekend, and the rapper/actor/producer is not happy about it.
It all started when a woman named Glamour Purfek claimed on Instagram that she had engaged in a romantic relationship with 37-year-old Young Buck, whose real name is David Darnell Brown.
The post was captioned: “@buckshotz show yourself to the [world] it would be so impressive…” and included photos of herself and the G-Unit rapper, screen shots of alleged DMs and sexts they had exchanged, and a short video of Glamour purportedly performing oral sex on him.
A wildfire of homophobic and transphobic tweets quickly ensued:

Within 24 hours, Young Buck hit back.
In an angry video posted to his Instagram page Monday afternoon, he repeatedly misgenders the woman while denying anything sexual ever happened between the two of them. He also shared a link to the video with his 280+ Twitter followers.

“Let me address this real fast real quick,” he said. “Ain’t sh*t gay about me.”
He went on to say he “ain’t got a problem with no gay people” but “there ain’t no motherf*ckin’ tape of no motherf*ckin’ punk sucking my d*ck!”
At least he’s right about one thing: There’s nothing gay about a man hooking up with a trans woman.
Shortly after the video was posted, Young Buck deleted it, but it’s still making the rounds on social media.

This dude hasn’t been anywhere near relevent for a decade. So, really, who cares who sucks his dick? But some sure can’t stand others thinking they’re in the least bit non-hetero yet alone “gay”. All you had to say was that it’s not you in the video and that you’re not into that. Claiming ain’t nothin’ about you gay and calling people punks just makes you look even more defensive and suspect. This is that element of the black community I don’t like, where there is a level of “toxic masculinity” where EVERYTHING, from how you dress, from how you talk, from how you walk as a man is scrutinized at length because these dudes are so damn weak in the mind. “I ain’t with that gay sh*t” is the go to for every one of these dudes who has claims made about him or is making claims.
The rap industry is homophobic, transphobic, and backwards. It’s basically like the country music industry, just less white and prettified.

I totally agree with you. I am so tired of the toxic masculinity amongst African American men (and Latino). Yes of course there are homophobic white men, but in general, white men are more comfortable in their sexuality. I watched John Cena dance with Hugh Jackman on James Corden’s show (who probably had a boner the way he was watching them); Stephen Colbert gently kisses Andrew Garfield….twice. When I watched these, I thought…..you would NEVER see two straight black dudes doing something like that.
I also think about the recent clip I saw of Atlanta Braves Ozzie Albies embracing Ronald Acuna and rubbing his head. When I watched the clip, I assumed that Ronald was upset about something and needed comfort. Nothing sexual about it. But you should have read the homophobic comments from (mostly) black people. Such ignorance. This toxic masculinity is the reason for the DL syndrome. GBM are afraid to be shunned by their friends, family, and church. So they have girlfriends, get married, have children, and just get their “freak on” with men on the side.
As for Young Buck…..man, he really is protesting way too much. All he had to say was that wasn’t me and leave it at that. But he has to go on a tirade, cussing and using the N-word every other word to prove his masculinity. Dumbass doesn’t realize that that made him more questionable. Haha.

No one here is saying she’s a man. It’s Young Buck (and probably some people on social media) that connected it to gayness. But ultimately, if he’s the dude in the video he’s still “queer” in some ways. He could be pansexual (I have hooked up with a couple of trans women and have some attraction to trans women yet I still consider myself both gay and pansexual). He could be “mostly hetero” with a penis fetish. Ultimately, none of that matters. His homophobic, transphobic, desperate-reach-for-machoness response is the issue here.

I think you hit it on the head. It’s a trans woman he’s not “gay.” 99.9% of gay men do not find trans woman attractive and Trans woman are usuallly only into straight men. They are basically women with male genitals and I personally don’t think that liking dick makes you gay. I separate sex and emotions, of course with some I blend them and that’s the best sex but for many sex is sex and nothing more and just cause your a guy who likes dick in the bedroom but everything else feminine I don’t think it makes you gay. It makes you gay if you have feelings for.a masculine male beyond sex. To me It just makes you a very sexual being. Is there some “queer” there, maybe or sure but straight guys don’t see it like we do. You can’t blame a rapper who’s famous in an industry where these things matter and have negative effects on their career to be so open about things like this, of course he’s gonnna deny it to the ultimate level but i’d Give him some credit for saying that he’s accepting of gay people but he doesn’t associate himself with being gay. If you can’t understand that’ you’re naive and can’t be empathetic to people and their situations.

Whatever else you can say about Young Buck, he did say that he “ain’t got a problem with no gay people,” i.e., he doesn’t have an issue with gay people. That’s something, and more than can be said for people like our current Vice President of the United States, to give just one example. Also, as someone else noted, if Young Buck is having sex with a trans woman, it’s hetero, no? So maybe someone should share a little bit of basic gender theory with him and others who don’t grasp this? LOL
