Real Housewife Porsha Williams Preaches “Save The Gays” In Homophobic Sermon

UPDATE: Porsha Williams issued the following apology on May 6:

“I woke up this morning disturbed and I felt that my heart was heavy and it was imperative for me to address the issue at hand. First let me say that God loves all his children. And although discriminate against other because of their race, their religion, their sexual orientation, their status in life, that we’re all worthy of God’s love. The sermon that was shown was shown not in its entirety therefore the message was omitted. I apologize that those words hurt the LGBT community, my fans and my supporters. Life is a journey and I’m growing every day. And I continue to encourage everyone to love each other unconditionally.”

We previously reported:

Before Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams punched her co-star in the face and became the most feared Housewife in history, she became one of the most ignorant Housewives by delivering at least one fiercely antigay sermon.

TMZ has obtained exclusive footage of Williams literally preaching to followers at High Praise Christian Center Ministries in Georgia three years ago, encouraging them to help “save” those who have lost their way — hookers, drug dealers, potentially suicidal people, and gays and lesbians.

Williams spent two years of her life married to a man who many fans believed to be closeted, and is now dating the son of an African dictator who is reportedly “notorious for human rights violations.” Most recently, she turned herself in to authorities after a warrant was issued for her arrest. Fellow RHOA star Kenya Moore filed charges after Williams instigated one of the most legendary Housewives fights in history.

Below, watch the recently-surfaced video of Williams encouraging her flock to “save” homosexuals, and know that she thinks “You are worthy!”

I thought Porsha sealed her ignorance on RHOA when she thought the Underground Railroad was an actual train!!!! Clearly she has had lots of practice being ignorant. Shame!! I was really on her side when she dragged that moose Kenya Moore on the reunion show but now she can kick rocks with her bare feet.

  • B Damion

She needs to spend all her time and money at a local community college. Illiterate bitch!

    Girl bye!

  • Wingfield

Well to be fair… She didn’t punch anyone in the face, just dragged Kenya by the hair and she also said she never met this African dictator people are talking about. Yes she said that then but I have a feeling her opinions have changed based on her actions on the show. Just my opinion.

  • gskorich

can a person change their point a view after being shown something different from what they are use to? i have a feeling a lot of people are afraid of gay people because they don’t know any or hear so many bad things about them from within their closed groups. porsha has grown over the last couple of seasons of rhoa,

  • Tackle

That was three years ago. But what are her feelings today?

  • tardis

A Christian with a criminal record? I’m not surprised.

  • Black Pegasus

Her anti gay stance is shared by all of the housewives on that show with the only true exception being Kenya Moore.
They peddle back their hate just enough to keep the Bravo checks coming.

  • Desert Boy

Andy Cohen hired the bitch. Why didn’t he vet her? Oh well. These so-called Housewife shows on Bravo-TV are disgusting. Cohen portrays all women as back-stabbing shrews, characters to be laughed at and reviled. I’ve never know anyone who behaved like these heffas.

  • mcflyer54

Why do people continue to make “celebrities” of no talent fools just because they have appeared on some phony hyped-up reality show?

  • davidjohng

@Black Pegasus: I so agree. They do sense they back-peddle their hate just enough to claim their checks and use the show to further their careers. After watching Nene on the 3rd reunion issue an half-ass apology to the LGBT community for using derogatory names about us and then back-track on this apology, I think this show needs to be boycotted. Her Hollywood claim to fame came BECAUSE of the LGBT community (Glee and Next to Normal) and then she belittles these very same people.
Andy, you need to grow a pair and not only confront their bigotry but get rid of them.

  • Phillip

Was she practicing what she preached when she married Cordell Stewart?

  • jayj150

Not sure if it’s God, but damn right she should be leaning on something after getting those breast implants…

  • TO

Is anyone really surprised? Porsha was never the brightest bulb for as likeable as she can seem at moments from the clips I have seen. She has also never hid the fact she’s a practicing Christian. Having said that, none of these women are booked and kept on these shows because they are potential role models, future leaders, etc. They are booked because they are great at creating drama, stirring the pot, have a lot of drama in their lives, can be manipulated by the producers to create a good story line, etc., which brings ratings. That is all this is, nothing more and that is their only redeeming value. I am fairly certain that more than one celebrated “fan favorite” housewife on the franchises has borderline personality disorder or is a sociopath. I do agree “editing” can do a lot to help create a story line but what they do on camera is enough to demonstrate this. I can only tolerate them in very small doses and frankly their lives are boring.

“Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.”
    –1 Corinthians 14:34–35

  • lykeitiz

What? Someone on a “Housewives” show is ignorant?

  • money718

I have never seen these Housewives shows am I missing anything?

  • james_in_cambridge

@money718: No. You are, however, saving your brain cells from certain harm so keep on NOT watching.

  • DickieJohnson

@DonW: This bit from 1 Corinthians is more crap from Paul of Tarsus. Jesus had female disciples, and said nothing about their need to keep silent. Paul’s iteration, of males lying together being an abomination, is how that nonsense got into the New Testament.

  • Boytoy

According to her bible women are suppose to keep their mouth shut, not be in the pulpit.

I don’t wanna be saved. What will heaven be like?It will be a bunch of homophobes talking about how much they hate gay people forever and ever.

  • Blackceo

Well she has since put out an apology video that is up on Perez Hilton. Seems sincere. I can forgive if she is being truthful about what she said. Sometimes people do evolve. We’ll see.

  • jorgecruz

Bravo is gayer than a showtunes picnic with Judy Garland. Everyone that works there are big queens and every show is so staged that you dont even need to watch to know what they will say and do next. As for Porsha, don’t go see this thirsty ratchet ho next time she sings at a pride event or gay bar. She will keep apologizing though because you know the Abbey is going to pay her a hell of a lot more money than the Baptist Church.

  • rickhfx

    @TO: @TO:

“borderline personality disorder or is a sociopath”, yes you are so right !

  • Mezaien

    Don`t forget! she is A,

  • TyTy91

You guys are somes dumb asses this was 4 years ago alot of people can change in 4 years! If you dont watch the RHOA Porsha is well “easily influenced” her ex husband was VERY controlling and its very possible that he made her say those things.

Not to mention just last month she was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and Ru Paul and she was cool and was having fun with them authentically having fun.

Do you honestly think that Andy would hire her if she was truly a homophobic? Plus Im tired of people going after this woman. There are going after this woman that has done this 4 years ago yet they arent talking about NeNe Leakes on her comments, her RECENT comments!

Not to mention people in the LGBT community shouldnt talk because there is a disgusting amount of racism sexism and agism its RIDICULOUS and alot of our LGBT people are no better than the homophobics! Thats the truth, the LGBT community is not the whole Kumbaya what we are supposedly thought it would be. To me its worse than homophobia because we should know better!

  • gskorich

good for her!! what she said three years ago may not be what she believes today. life is a journey and if you open your eyes you will see things that might change the way you see things.

  • Kangol

This really dizzy person thought the historical “Underground Railroad” was a real railroad (and she is the direct descendant of a major Civil Rights visionary), so I take her commentary, preaching or otherwise, with a grain of salt.

Porsha Stewart is as dumb as a bag of rocks, and stupid people often fall back on ignorance, including homophobic discourse, but she knows better. She does.

(And I am not going to give her any credit for having dealt with an allegedly DL, homophobic ex-husband, either.)

  • TyTy91

Im sorry but reading this again is just a messy article and that this person who wrote this didnt watch the RHOA reunion because Kenya instigated the fight by having a wand pointing to Porsha face and mega phone. When your being bullied around you can only hold so much and and you just explode .

  • Tackle

@TyTy91: Love your first post. And that’s the truth. Your second post, even if someone is doing that to you, doesn’t give you the right to put your hands on them.
