Reality star denies being gay or trans after fans and co-stars attack him for acting “effeminate”

Timothy Malcolm currently stars on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé.

The reality show follows couples who have applied for K-1 visas (available to foreign fiancés of American citizens) and have 90 days to either get married or have the foreign half of the couple deported when the visas expire.

Timothy and his Colombian girlfriend Jeniffer are currently starring on the third season of the problematic show. Throughout the season, 38-year-old Timothy has been criticized by fans and co-stars for acting “effeminate” and wearing nice clothes. Some have even questioned whether he might be trans.

The chatter came to a fever pitch after the couple got into an argument about Timothy’s lack of interest in Jeniffer, particularly his refusal to have sex. Jeniffer called Timothy a “p*ssy” and said she prefers traditionally masculine men who like to “conquer” her.

After the episode aired, fellow 90 Day Fiancé cast mate Dean Hashim went on The Domenick Nati Show to unleash a transphobic diatribe, saying, “The way he crossed his legs, man, it don’t look like he got a pair of balls between ’em.”

“I don’t know man, I can’t even cross my legs like that man, I’m blessed, you know what I mean? He crosses his legs more feminine than she do.”

Hashim continued: “Here’s what I’m thinking, cause look man, me and my brother was saying the other day, he was like, ‘Yo, I think that used to be a female that turned himself into a man. He trying to grow up here, you know. It ain’t ready, it ain’t fresh out the oven yet man. He can’t pull his pants down yet you know? I think what it is, when they get that sex change, they gotta give it time for that peter to grow, like a sprout.”

In response, Timothy took to Instagram to set the record straight.

“Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots,” he said in a post shared with his nearly 80K followers.

In a recent  Instagram Q&A, Timothy added, “I have never had a problem having a girlfriend, so clearly there are some women who like men like me.”

“I knew I would have haters,” he continued, but he said “the transgender comments were not expected.”

Timothy went on to say that he considers metrosexual, adding that because he wasn’t in a hurry to have sex with Jeniffer, “ruthless” people have attacked him for simply being a “respectful man.”
