With Rep. Eric Massa, the New York Democrat, opting to not run for re-election, his troubles must be over, yes? No: The House ethics committee, in an unusual step, confirmed it’s investigating the congressman, who insists he’s leaving office for health reasons, not the allegations that he used “salty language” (his words) towards his staff. Meanwhile, Speaker Nancy Pelosi insists she’s unaware of any such allegations. LOLz.
UPDATE: He’s resigning — after working so damn hard to get elected in 2008.

This is the worst kind of scandal. Not even a funny line from it like “wide stance” Sen Larry Craig’s.
