Pundits have been pondering what will become of Pat Robertson now that he’s endorsed abortion-allowing, gay loving Rudy Giuliani.
They got at least part of answer today after anti-abortion activist and Operation Rescue founder Randall Terry took aim at Robertson – among others.
Note his clever take on NYC’s current mayor, Michael Bloomberg.
Says Terry:
If Rudy Giuliani was [sic] a Democrat, Pat Robertson might denounce him as Satan Himself – or at least Mayor Beelzebronx – Lord of the N.Y. Flies. Rudy would be the poster boy of CBN attack ads and fundraising appeals.
Rudy has perfect credentials on social issues like child-killing, partial birth abortion, federal funding for “poor women” to have abortions, and so-called homosexual marriage or civil unions. Add to that his unblemished betrayal of the Second Amendment, and he would be a stellar Democratic candidate – with the ethical stature of Al Sharpton, Al Gore, and Hillary Clinton herself.
Rudy’s treachery to the Catholic Church makes John Kerry look like a choir-boy. During his tenure as mayor Rudy revoked the permit of the Ancient Order of Hibernians for their annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. (The Hibernian’s are a faithful Catholic Fraternity.) Why? They would not allow homosexual floats to participate in a Catholic Christian parade. The Catholics had to go to Federal Court to get their parade permit back. This is who Pat Robertson is backing.
Terry’s so pissed off, he even suggests that Hillary Clinton’s preferable to Giuliani. As you can see, Robertson’s Giuliani support turned the world upside down. “In the eyes of the Angels, we may find that Hillary’s pure evil is far less putrid and damnable than the hypocritical and seductive evil of Rudy’s caliber.” A social conservative tacitly supporting a Clinton? Crazy!

Giuliani attacked New Hampshire for enacting a civil union law for same-sex couples because it “goes too far†and is “the equivalent of marriage.â€
Giuliani recently said he would support raping the U.S. Constitution by amending it to ban gay marriage equality if “too many ‘activist judges’†ruled positively on it.
Giuliani signed a domestic partners law for NYC that excluded “any requirement for recognizing gay and lesbian couples in collective bargaining agreements.â€
Giuliani opposed any requirement that companies with New York City contracts provide domestic partner benefits on par with the spousal rights they confer, as San Francisco has.
Giuliani, in 1989 as candidate for Mayor, criticized Mayor Koch’s plan to offer bereavement leave to gay city employees, calling it (through a spokesperson) “an ill-conceived political giveaway.â€
Giuliani, in 1993, opposed Mayor Dinkins’ ban on travel by city employees to Colorado, imposed because of a boycott to the state’s antigay ballot initiative.
Giuliani supported Ruben Diaz, who sat on the Police Department’s Civilian Complaint Review Board, who wrote a homophobic and AIDS-phobic column about the upcoming Gay Games being held in the city. Giuliani was quoted as saying, “I don’t condemn him†and said Diaz’s views reflected “a couple of thousand years of moral theology.â€
Giuliani eliminated the mayor’s Office of Lesbian and Gay Concerns.
Giuliani opposed the inclusion of lesbians and gay in multicultural public schools curriculum.
Giuliani appointed openly homophobic Irene Impellizzeri to the Board of Education and appointed AIDS-phobic board member Ninfa Segarra as Deputy Mayor.
Giuliani defended the [police] use of force to control demonstrators marching in honor of slain Matthew Shepard.

I suspect that Rudy will run commercials showing the late Milton Berle dressed in drag showing how supraheterosexuals had no problem dressing in drag on Broadway or in Hollywood.
Pat Robertson has no problem with his support of a man with no moral core or centre. Neither does he, so they understand each other’s political needs. They will blackmail each other and that is how they will proceed throughout the election.

One of the Clinton ‘good points’ Robertson was happy about was illustrated when her mentor Bill Clinton appointed homobigot Democrat Judge Karen Nelson Moore to the bench. Judge Moored joined a Bush appointee in the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals which recently endorsed gaybashing in Kentucky schools. He appointed her just before he campaigned for and signed the bigot law DOMA and not too long after he signed the bigot law DADT.
Dianne Feinstein and a dozen or so Democrats recently joined with their Republican cousins in putting racist and gaybasher Mississippian Judge Southwick to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the Democrat controlled Senate by a vote of 59-38. Even more Democrats voted with their bipartisan Republican cousins to put a gay basher in as Attorney General.
The idea of waiting for the judiciary to ‘grant’ us equality is as practical as the ‘theory’ of lesser evils. That is to say, not very.
Only real dummies would pretend that the differences between Giuliani and Clinton are more than cosmetic.
With Democrats like these who needs Republicans.

Pat Robertson’s father was a US senator from VA in the days that Dixiecrat racists were in the Democratic party. Their conversion, of course, was when they ran to create the new Republican Party of the South when the blacks vacated to join the Democratic party.
Robertson started CBN and ran for the GOP Presidential nomination and therefore created the neocon/theocon GOP alliance. There were others like Falwell and in recent decades, Dobson, who have prominence over the “Mephis Elmer Gantry” but no one else understands Washington DC politics like that individual. Don’t count out the man’s influence or his strategies, to your peril.
