Northern Ireland MP Iris Robinson’s anti-gay ways have caused some collateral damage. Belfast-based shrink and Robinson adviser Dr. Paul Miller has temporarily stepped down from his position at a local hospital in the wake of the politico’s campaign against “mentally ill” homos. He also pulled himself off her staff:
[Robinson] caused a storm when she said homosexuality was an abomination and she had a psychiatrist working in her office who had “cured” gay people.
Other psychiatrists distanced themselves from these views, saying homosexuality was not an illness and did not require medical treatment.
Neither Dr Miller nor the DUP are commenting on reports that he has taken a career break from a north Belfast hospital and has stepped down as Mrs Robinson’s adviser.
Perhaps now Robinson and company have learned their lesson: bigotry’s no turn on.

Just hope Iris follows soon!
What a pity that the PM says, “There is no constitutional role for the Prime Minister to reprimand individual Members of Parliament who are accountable to their electorate for their own comments.” Shock, horror, looks like she’s getting away with it! Just like Ian Paisley Junior, and I suspect the politicians from opposing parties are speaking out in order to gain popularly.
Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 requires “designated public authorities to have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity between 9 different groups: religious belief; political opinion; race or ethnic group; age; marital status; sexual orientation; gender; disability; and persons with dependants.†Maybe it doesn’t apply to born again Christians??

She (Iris), is the only true abomination here.
BobP
The abomination is that this quack is allowed to practice his absurd theories on gay men and women.
Aren’t there any gay members of Parliament?
