Swedish pop sensation and sneaker platform purveyor Robyn is getting ready to record a follow-up to her much-lauded Body Talk trilogy. She just needs to stop touring first.
“Touring and writing doesn’t work,” the singer told BBC Newsbeat. “I’m coming off the road so I can release something quicker.”
Robyn’s been dancing on her own all around the world for the better part of the last three years in support of the Body Talk series. So while the kids are still shaking their respective groove things, they’re getting a little antsy.
“Everyone’s asking when there will be new stuff: The labels I work with, the fans, the journalists. To be honest, I’m just happy someone cares.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Before focusing her prodigious pop powers on another set of future dance classics, the 33-year-old Swede has to put her current mini-tour to bed.
“I honestly didn’t expect to tour this year but I wanted to come back one last time before I go back into the studio.”
Alas, there’s no set release date for the new album, so for now we’ll just (continue to) listen to “Call Your Girlfriend” on repeat.

Great news! Body Talk was a great album. I just wish radio would support her more and not the one-hit wonders that are always clogging the charts.
