Rosie O’Donnell and Kelli Carpenter may have had a great sex life, but it wasn’t enough to keep them together. But even though Rosie confirmed the pair have split (though they still love each other and are family), it wasn’t until now that she revealed they’ve been living apart for at least two years.
Minus a couple shouting matches in between.
And because this is how the world works, it took a dog psychic to score the reveal.
On her Sirius Satellite radio show, O’Donnell suddenly admitted Carpenter had moved out of their home two years ago. The reason for the big reveal? A pressing psychic and a long-haired chihuahua.
“Where did you get her from Rosie? Because she says she came from somewhere. And she said she’s happier with you,” pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick said of O’Donnell’s dog Misty. “She’s so spoiled and she loves to burrow.”
O’Donnell confirmed: “She does! She burrows in the bed right next to me.”
And, when asked who “sometimes looks after her,” O’Donnell explained her four children all fight over caring for the pup, which she got three days after Carpenter left. “What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog.”
Score another one for the National Enquirer, which in August was the first to report their split, and zero for Rosie’s publicist, who lied about their break-up to People — the same magazine that just shared the two-year-old moving out news.
How about we take this to the next level?

Can’t we just leave these people alone & let them deal with their own reality? Like O’Donnell or not, it’s none of our business.

Bravo, Kelli! I can’t imagine what you would see in that hateful harridan.

Even if she were straight, does Rosie strike anybody as someone who’d be tranquil to live with…? 😮
…And there’s that bite again, pretending to be a smile.

Just because two people aren’t living together doesn’t mean they have officially split or broken up. Sometimes one person needs space but still wants to work on the relationship.

Um Tommy, your optimism is sweet but with Rosie saying “What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love.” If she and Kelli were still together she wouldn’t have needed something else to love.
Too bad, they had been together a while. Rosie previously was constantly working, it may have been a situation where they got along great when they both had jobs, but suddenly one is home all day and it could become a little overwhelming. Rosie has an awefully big personality.

My point was when Kelli first moved out, they hadn’t officially decided to end their relationship. So that’s why Rosie didn’t immediately announce it to the world because things were still up in the air. She’s announcing it now because the split is final.
Relationships aren’t as simple as being all together or all broken up.
