1993 was a big year for RuPaul. When RuPaul released his debut album ‘Supermodel of the World’ in June, he had no idea how successful it would become. Not only did the album climb to #109 on the Billboard 200 but his most-famous single, ‘Supermodel (You Better Work),’ also peaked at #45 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Following the success of ‘Supermodel (You Better Work),’ there were two other songs that received notable success. The first song was ‘Back to my Roots,’ which charted at #1 on the Billboard Club/Dance Play Songs chart on July 24, 1993, followed by ‘A Shady Shade (Prance),’ which also charted at #1 on the Billboard Club/Dance Play Songs chart on October 9, 1993. ‘A Shady Shade (Prance)’ also reached #40 on the UK singles charts.

While most young RuPaul fans have listened to and watch the music video for ‘Supermodel (You Better Work),’ we certain the most haven’t heard of these two amazing tracks.
