Glamour, no? Madonna has coyly unveiled a new ad for her MDNA skincare line, which begins with some frantic B&W footage that seems — seems — to be the pop artist revisiting lewks from some of her most well-known videos.
But.
There’s an outrageous twist that will shake the ground beneath your feet and shatter your already-tenuous grip on reality, leaving you reeling as you making sense of the vagaries of gender and identity and persona and skin care. Is up actually down? Is dry wet?
Take a look:

You know Madonna is a control freak so if this drag queen (sorry I don’t watch drag race partied with Rupaul too much in the 90s to care) made the cut; you know he met with Madonna’s tough standards. I don’t care what people say. Bravo! To this drag queen getting the official thumb’s up enough from Madonna to appear on her behalf.
What many queens forget is Madonna never took any of her impersonators serious over 30-something odd years (both men and women) so this is huge!
Give him a round of applause for making the cut rather than knocking him down.

Agreeance. Cool ad. But what’s in it?
