Hot on the stiletto heels of being crowned America’s Next Drag Superstar, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Violet Chachki has released a new music video for her single “Vanguard.”
The song is an upbeat track about being at the forefront of the drag movement. The main storyline of the video features Violet fighting back against a trio of homophobic men after being attacked by them in a restaurant. The onlookers in the eatery soon come to her aid, leading to a battle royal with the thugs getting the ultimate beatdown.
The four-minute clip is chock-full of Chachki’s love of avant-garde visuals. Imagery of a ferocious poodle is interspersed throughout “Vanguard,” along with Violet performing aerial silk acrobatics. The reigning Drag Race queen, who proved that she has an eye for fashion while appearing on the show, also serves up the latest in fetish wear couture. And if that’s not enough, she once again invokes pin-up realness — this time wearing prosthetic breasts.
“Vanguard” is the second single from Violet Chachki’s debut five-track EP Gagged, which was released today.
How about we take this to the next level?

More “transification” of drag.
All about “realness” and being “f*ckable” as “talent”
Watch this one will come out as trans soon enough.
