RuPaul has just released the ninth episode of his bi-monthly podcast ‘What’s The Tee’ with Michelle Visage. In this episode, called ‘Making it Last With Jamal Sims & Tom Campbell’, they announce that the podcast has been funded by a listener named Jennifer Seeley, plus, they are joined by legendary choreographer Jamal Sims and the creator of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Tom Campbell.
Tom joins the episode around the 31 minute mark and together they kiki about how the format for RuPaul’s Drag Race was his idea. Tom starts of by saying, “World of Wonder and you (RuPaul) were pitching this for many, many years — a competition elimination — and I had come to the company like eight years ago.
