Wait, what’s this? Suddenly Rush Limbaugh believes that his party is the savior of gays, protector of all sexual orientations? What’s even going on?
Here’s what he just wrote on Facebook:
We have the Republican candidate for president essentially suggesting that if you want to come into this country and attack Americans because of their gender or because of their sexual orientation — if you have a problem with gays or with women or with any other minority group — we’re not gonna let you in. And naturally, the Republican’s being called a bigot.
Where to even begin? First of all, why are we even talking about Muslims coming to this country to attack people because of their gender and sexual orientation? This is not a thing that happens. We have plenty of home-grown American-born anti-gay extremists already. There are the parents who want to kick trans kids out of schools; there’s Marco Rubio speaking at anti-gay conferences; there’s Judge Roy Moore trying to block gay marriage in Alabama — the list goes on and on.
And maybe Rush ought to look at his own rhetoric to understand why Republicans are not just called bigots, but known to be bigots. There’s the time he called Barney Frank “banking queen,” or when he said of a gay Republican sex predator, “In their hearts and minds and their crotches, they don’t have any problem with what Foley did. They’ve defended it over the — over the years.” Or the time he said of gay marriage, “If I could marry my sofa, I might think about it.” And “at some point who’s to say that you cannot have sex with a child?”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Ooh, or how about this Rush quote? “I remember being laughed at and mocked and called an extremist for predicting that definitions of family–what constitutes family–is now wide open,” Limbaugh decried. “Pretty soon you’re going to be able to marry your dog–your dog is going to be an official part of your family who qualifies for benefits.”
And if Rush is wondering why Republicans would be called bigots, maybe he ought to look at his own party platform, which still opposes LGBT civil rights and defends ex-gay torture camps. Or he could look at his party’s candidates for President and Vice President, who spend all of their time palling around with Americans (not immigrants!) who want to destroy queer people.
So just in case you need a refresher, here’s why Donald Trump and Mike Pence are called bigots:

Windbag Limbaugh still saying outrageous, fantastical things to stay relevant.
If Trump wants my vote, he needs to publicly blast the GOP for their anti-gay platform and promise to protect gay rights, from the anti-gay wing of his party, here at home. The excuse of “at least we aren’t throwing you off of the rooftops of buildings like they do in those Muslim countries”, doesn’t make me feel safer when they still want the right to fire us from our jobs, deny us the right to marry, and refuse to allow us housing for being gay here at home.
If the GOP really did want the gay and minority vote, they would kick the religious conservative nuts and r@cists to the curb. They will probably lose a few elections, but once they moved back towards the center, they would get more independent voters and democrats near the center.

Who even cares what this bloated douchebag has to say. The Republican Party is falling apart before our very eyes and I say good riddense. Rush needs to pop some OxyContin and take a nap.

The proponents of the far right assume that the rest of us have no memory and cannot maintain a linear train of thought. They don’t seem to notice that not only do they suffer from exactly the same things, they cannot evaluate anything critically nor can they seem to differentiate between reality and wishful thinking.
This is demonstrated regularly by some of the log cabin folks we see here. As well as by the news every day.
The radio is on and i hear Trump shouting that “we don’t need fewer cops, we need more cops” to the cheers of his flocks. Nobody ever said we need fewer, just that we need them to have a better skillset and be appropriate to the community they serve. And he seems to forget that despite his ranting over how crime ridden we are, crime has been on a steady decline (with small brief upticks) for 30 years!
We hear Trump shouting about how Clinton wants to scrap the 2nd amendment and “take your guns”. He seems to be ignorant of the process whereby one alters a constitutional amendment as well as the fact that Clinton has never said or even implied that she wants to “take your guns”. Reality is anathema to these folks.

Limbaugh is eminently qualified to speak on this subject as he is a closeted gay man who has been married to several women.

Limbaugh used to rail (high as a kite) against drugs and drug users, until he got busted for being a pill-popping junkie. Just a matter of time before he’s outed/exposed for his hypocrisy on gay rights.
Kangol
@Bauhaus: Right-wing Limblob railed against drug users, especially black and latinx ones, and trashed President Clinton for smoking pot. Constantly, incessantly, vociferously. But remember, after the hypocraptoid got busted, he was able to get off with a slap on the wrist. And THEN he was busted with someone else’s drugs while flying back from a predominantly black-latinx Caribbean country. He’s the absolute worst of the worst!

@Kangol:
He’s vile.

If you used a crane to flip Chris Christie upside down so that his head is where his ass should be and his ass is where his head should be you would have a Rush Limbaugh.
Mo Bro
@Juanjo: So Limbaugh is gay, huh? Is that supposed to be a compliment or an insult? (I’d love to see the perplexed, deer-in-the-headlights expression on your face right now)

Rush reminds me of the baby who isn’t aware of the existence of his own hands until they are in front of his face in his field of vision. The right wing, evangelical movement in this country has become the American Hate Caucus. Their elected representatives introduced more than 200 anti-LGBTQ pieces of legislation in more than 34 states, just this year alone. They’re behind every effort to suppress, punish, ostracise and exclude law abiding, responsible LGBTQ American citizens. And the fact that Trump throws up a straw man about ISIS trying to enter this country to harm or kill members of our community, only underscores both the deceitfulness of the Right and the lack of altitude in their I.Q.s for assuming we’d be stupid enough to buy this crap.
I’ll tell you what, Rush, you and the Don’tald can stand up against ISIS, the rest of us will continue to fight against ESUS – the Evangelical State in the United States. They’re a far more pernicious threat to the LGBTQ community.

I find Rush Limbaugh just a bunch of hot stinky air, please spray him with Febreze.
