Welp, it looks like Russell Tovey is back on the market.
The 36-year-old actor and his rugby-playing fiancé Steve Brockman are offically donezo.
The couple got engaged back in February. Shortly after they announced their engagement, it was revealed that Brockman used to be a model (naked!) for Randy Blue.

Tovey announced the split in a comment to a follower on Instagram, who had asked if the guys were still together.
“No darling,” replied Tovey.
No other information was given and neither Tovey nor Brockman have released statements, leaving the whole world to wonder: What the hell happened?!

I never knew who he was until I saw him on an episode of Legends of Tomorrow where he shared a kiss with Wentworth Miller. I dropped my strawberry soda and quickly googled the lucky guy who got to kiss my longtime crush Wentworth Miller. Turns out Russel was just a working actor (not famous) but steady working. He was dating a former gay porn star who now fronts as a Instagram fitness coach.
These relationships never last because the actors find themselves in social circles which increasingly cause embarrassment because of their boyfriends/husbands social and professional choices. Ask Colton Haynes.. Anyway, that’s all I got to say… bye for now. ?

@Loki – reread my comment. I said the “CHOICES” made by boyfriends/husbands can cause embarrassment. And yes, those choices can include professional decisions as well. Colton’s husband cheated on him which caused humiliation. Russell’s ex fiancé was a former porn star which more than likely caused some consternation and shame for the couple. You have to work in the industry to truly understand how your image can affect your stock. Imagine Russell attending wrap parties with his fiancée porn actor introducing him to the director and producers of the TV/Film project you just completed. So cringeworthy lol

Poor Colton had so many demons during his career rise on cable and CW fame. It appeared that these personal issues were not totally resolved and resulted that delirious shot-gun wedding. Now is back on social media in search for his much needed public attention and validation.

I’ve followed Russell Tovey for a long time, ever since the days of Gavin and Stacey. He didn’t have a big part but he was pretty fun.
He’s been in a couple of Miss Marple episodes, starting as a teenage boy and then one where he played a local cop. Not big parts, but always fun to watch.
He also had a part in the UK miniseries from last year called QUEERS. See it if you can. And last but not least, I just saw him in a movie from 2016 called Mindhorn. It’s about an actor who was a big cop star on TV in the 80’s, very preposterous and now, he’s not doing so well. Russell plays the bad guy, but doesn’t seem to know exactly what that means. It’s on Netflix. Steve Coogan is in it.
And of course, there’s Looking. Great acting and dialogue, not so much the story.

Was the boyfriend too effeminate for Russell Tovey. That’s one of his issues. Whatever the case or cause, even these high profile types should be a bit warier of social media’s effects on their relationships. It’s great to be out, it’s wonderful to be able to share your life with others, but so often it seems to become a performance that exacerbates whatever problems are already there.

What’s the big deal? People on Queerty call other commenters / gays “Queens” all the time as an insult. So Russell Tovey made some comment about being embarrassed by flaming Queens that make 8 year-old boys’ stereotypes look true. Lots of people cringe at that behaviour. Now all the “bitter Queens” hate him for being “femmophobic”.
