Ryan Russell is a man of many talents. In addition to being an NFL free agent, he’s a motivational speaker, an LGBTQ activist, an Instastud, a YouTuber, and a poet.

Earlier this week, the 27-year-old, who came out as bisexual in a candid essay for ESPN earlier this year, shared a photo of himself and his boyfriend, Corey, walking hand-in-hand along Venice Beach along with this short, sweet love poem:
Touch me
Like the sky
Touches the ocean
Beyond comprehension
Always and forever.

Russell, who published his first book of poems Prison or Passion earlier this year, has said he hopes his poetry can help those who are struggling and in need of healing, as well as inspire “other boys, and young men, to explore and cultivate their creative sides.”
“We are all more than one talent and one dream,” he says. “We are multifaceted and phenomenal beings with unlimited capabilities.”
