Even though I understand The point this article is trying to make I still find it annoying. There are still plenty of hetero identifying men out there that have this irrational fear of gay guys that will try to convert them or force themselves on them and articles like this don’t help. Gay and bisexual men should be going after other gay and bisexual men, not trying to figure out ways to crack the “hetero code” so they can manipulate straight identifying men into sleeping with them.
This straight guy worship needs to stop, and gay and bisexual men need to stop looking for ways to get the men they can’t have. There are millions of gay and bisexual men out there for all of us, our community needs to stop focusing on what it can’t have and focus more on what it DOES have.

“Straight men” may not do it, but heteros do. Sexual orientation is not a behavior. It seems many people just don’t get that. Believe me, most heteros will let a woman do whatever she wants to do with him in bedroom… eventually. And anal pleasure is not about gender attraction. Just like there are gay men who have no interest in bottoming. There are many things that get people off beyond inherent gender attraction and there many forms of kink by extend beyond orientation.
There are however inter-sexual relationships where female-worshiping gay men enjoy bottoming for women because being dominate by a woman is a turn-on and ego booster.

The “secret” to bagging a straight guy is the same as a gay one. You just ask. I stupidly hooked up with a married guy from work…at work, while his wife was working in another room 30 feet away. I thought it was a “one and done”, but he showed up at my house on a day off while running errands. He said “I only have half an hour… (grin).” Is he straight? Don’t really know or care. He says he is. He’s been sexually active since he was 13 and has a high sex drive (according to his wife). Meh. Labels are for clothes.

If you’re a man and you have sex with another man, you’re gay. Bottom line. If you’re a man and you have sex with another man and other times a woman, then you are bisexual. Period. It’s that simple.
In the end, we created these labels that need to be done away with so people can stop having strange hang ups.

It really isn’t that simple because sexuality and sociology is not always that simple. That’s the reason there’s been the invention of so many labels in recent years. Sexual orientation has never equated to sexual behavior. No matter how much people try to force them to mean the same thing. Yes, people can and often do have plenty of sex with genders outside their orientation. There are inherently gay men who never have sex with guys. There are inherently bi-men who never have sex with men or women.
We can’t exactly get rid of labels yet because homophobia, internalized homophobia and obsession with hetero-normalcy is still so prominent. And that’s not going away with eradicating labels. In fact, those things would probably get worse. Also, we’re a society of categorization and curiosity. Therefore, they will never go away. And yes, “I don’t believe in labels” is a label. The fact that so many of these “labels” are so vague and cast such a wide net is the problem with them. Besides, there is nothing wrong with knowing who you are and stating that. And we all know that accepting your homosexuality is still a mega big deal for individuals.
What would help to kill “labels” is people differentiating sexual attraction, sexual preferences, romantic preferences and being honest about those things. That’s what a lot of bi/fluid/queer/I hook up with guys or girls sometimes identifying men often have a very difficult time doing
But no, just because a dude admits to haven enjoyed sex with men doesn’t make him gay or bi.

You’re perpetuating heterosexism with each vapid article like this you post. And as someone who’s slept with his fair share of “straight” guys–they’re not straight. If a dude who claims to be straight is sleeping with you and enjoying it, he’s not on the straight end of the spectrum. Can we not acknowledge that heterosexual privilege and all the benefits that come with being straight are largely the reason they label themselves that way?
