SF Spikes Gay Soccer Team Get Hands On With “It Gets Better” Video

 

We’ve seen hundreds of It Gets Better videos—from local activists, celebrities, politicians, and everyday folks. But this one, made by the San Francisco Spikes really spoke to us.

First of all, we think soccer players are among the cutest of all sports players. They always show their legs and they don’t wear a ton of padding to hide their fine form.

Secondly, we were always picked last in gym class (shocking but true) so knowing that some of our gay sisters haven’t remained eternally scarred by team athletic sports gives us hope.

And lastly, it actually suggests a way some LGBT youth can make it better for themselves: find a surrogate family of people with a similar interest (in this case, soccer).
