New York promoters Ben Harvey and Casey Fitzpatrick said a quick “Hey, Girl, Hey” to Manhattan Friday night when they brought their popular GUMBO party from Dumbo in Brooklyn to the Canal Room in Tribeca with performances by Shontelle and 21st Century Girl. Throughout the night DJ Keo Nozari spun for Big Apple and borough boys buzzing from the 42Below Vodka open bar but the crowd went wild when Shontelle took over the dance floor and performed hits off her album, No Gravity.
Next up? Catch up with Harvey and Fitzpatrick at their monthly Gekko party at the Library Bar in the Financial District’s Gild Hall on Wednesday, July 27. You might just find yourself a Wall Street sugar daddy!

First: Ohhhh! Somneone had a party
Second: Who cares? You have to pay to get in and pay $12 for a martini.
Finally: This insider shit looks HRCish. Is Joe there in his $3,000 suit?
Whoever posted this crapola must lead an empty life of booze, boys and crank. Is Joe there in his $3,000 suit?

Keo has wonderful music and a new album out. Glad he’s DJing such big scale events.

and why should I care what happens in the bar scene?
Matt
Hey queerty, instead of taking the weekend off and posting pics from a party, try to actually report on important news!
How about reporting on this:
Active Duty Gay Soldiers March In a Pride Parade
http://www.towleroad.com/2011/07/watch-more-video-from-san-diegos-gay-pride.html
Or:
Hate Crimes are up in NY
http://www.towleroad.com/2011/07/reported-hate-crimes-on-the-rise-in-new-york-city.html
While you were busy taking pics at a party, active duty military peeps were marching in a parade, first ever, and a report showed an increase in hate crimes in New York.
Must be nice to be so free from care.
(Oh, and I like Ben Harvey and his parties, I’m annoyed by queerty’s failure to not these important things.)
Greg
@Matt: Wow, Matt. If Queerty only reported on the gay news stories covered on Towleroad….um, it would be Towleroad. There’s plenty of room for a little coverage of Arts, Entertainment, and yes, even Ben Harvey parties. I was there, btw, and it was a great night.

I’m having friends over for Gumbo. Quick, call Queerty. It’s BROWN rice tonight!
