Shoving match ends with tender kiss in best sports fight ever

It was nearly a dark day for volleyball.

The All-Star Game at the Japan Volleyball League was supposed to be a place to celebrate the sport; to revel in a shared love of making a ball go over a net.

But an argument between chaser Yu Yamamoto, 24, and Takuya Takamatsu, 29, threatened to change all that.

Which side had fouled? That was the spark that lit the fire.

Shoves were exchanged. Voices were raised. Would the ball ever volley again? Nobody knew.

And just when it seemed the carnage would never stop, the two players leaned in and shared a totally adorable kiss, sealing this skirmish among the great conflicts the world has ever seen.
