It was nearly a dark day for volleyball.
The All-Star Game at the Japan Volleyball League was supposed to be a place to celebrate the sport; to revel in a shared love of making a ball go over a net.
But an argument between chaser Yu Yamamoto, 24, and Takuya Takamatsu, 29, threatened to change all that.

Which side had fouled? That was the spark that lit the fire.
Shoves were exchanged. Voices were raised. Would the ball ever volley again? Nobody knew.
And just when it seemed the carnage would never stop, the two players leaned in and shared a totally adorable kiss, sealing this skirmish among the great conflicts the world has ever seen.

I always hated sports especially P.E. in school. But if I knew I might get kissed I may have stayed with it just for that Chance

I need to get my behind over to Japan, some cute ass men over there; I might have to bring the hand cuffs encase it gets a bit too intense.

Aw that is so sweet!
The crowds reaction was fantastic as well.

Oh, come on. That was not a “tender kiss”. It was a sarcastic f*** you gesture, and a way of backing out of a confrontation that could have had them both sent off. The Queerty editors’ ability to superimpose their own wishful thinking on any given situation is truly staggering.

This is total BS. That’s not even a real kiss. It was done for shock value/publicity, and nothing positive about. Sometime I wonder how desperate the content editors must be at times. SMH

It is my sincerely held opinion that all men, irrespective whether or not they consider themselves straight or not, should be comfortable kissing and having casual sex with other men.

Apparently, these same two players have done this before. Takamatsu said he loves Yamamoto like a younger brother. Several people say it was staged. But others say it’s just what they do, just a “civil” way to end a disagreement. …We should all be so civil!

Yeah, kinda staged. I’ve read that young men in Japan tend to kiss on the lips. It’s their thing, for the young folks, sort of a fad, but a nice one I’d say.

They probably did it for the young girls in the audience. It’s like a live version on Yaoi, which the girls seem to love so much over there.
