“This year’s Gay Pride event in Madison yesterday was smaller than in years past, but organizers promise a bigger event next year. Madison Pride announced some financial discrepancies in April in accounts managed by it’s former treasurer, leaving the group in debt and with little to spend on this year’s event.” [WIBA]

The Pride March in Madison is bit flotsam and jetsam for me. A lot of truly bad drag and a lot of gay men for whom Madison is the big city.
Myself, I did the sane thing and spent the day at the nude beach, then killed a bottle or two with friends at Wollersheim on the way home.

It’s worth noting that, happily, the group indie Queer (and several other organizations) put together their own slate of Pride activities and parties to fill out (heyo!) the weekend. Pride is not dead in Madison, nor is it suffering!
