With the Gay Games quickly approaching, the small, “family values”-oriented town of Crystal Lake, IL, located about 50 miles northwest of Chicago, is having a fierce internal debate over some gay rowing teams. The Gay Games is seeking a permit to hold their rowing competition on the lake, and local residents are perhaps worried that the gays will row nude, pee in the water, or just have sex in the boats instead of racing.
