The conservative group Wisconsin Family Action filed a lawsuit last week to stop the state from recognizing domestic partnerships. Wisconsin’s gays were supposed to get some rights beginning August 3, thanks to a provision in the state budget that circumvented the “no same-sex marriage” law already on the books. Except, as expected, some legal jargon filed with the State Supreme Court, WFA wants the measures declared unconstitutional. Discriminating against gays, however, remains totally kosher.

You try and not think bad thoughts about others but damm these people make it hard not to wish massive strokes leaving these scumbags totally incapacitated for the rest of their lives, so we may live ours peacefully………………..
D-Sun
Well, I certainly wish these people nothing but the best.
By the best, I mean Ebola.
DeAnimator
Really…how does us visiting our partners affect ANYONE else but us? Although I guess gay marriage doesn’t affect them either…or gay adoption…or anything. These people need to get a life.
uffda
truly evil

These ‘people’ aren’t fighting to ‘protect marriage’ and they never were. We can deduct that by watching daily how the Heterosexual care fuck-all about marriage.
This is only about 1 thing and 1 thing only, and that is for the Heterosexuals to continue to make the lives of their very own gay & lesbain creations as miserable as they possibly can.
All the while screaming their heads off about morality, while acting about as immorally as I have ever seen a group of society act.
Joanaroo
Hi Bill! This group is another bunch that embarass me for being straight. Sometimes I wonder what the hell is the reason all these jerks have to be on the planet. I can just hear “You can’t handle the truth” banging away on his damn keyboard and I swear if I read another piece of “reformed gay” b.s. I’ll puke!
youcanthandlethetruth
@Joanaroo: Joan sorry if the truth makes you puke!
Personally I don’t see why we need to redefine marriage to revise hospital visitation rules.
Joanaroo
According to the governor in the accompanying article this is about domestic partnerships-not gay marriage. I am for equal rights for gays and yes-gay marriage. If you are a christian-how can you hate another person so much because of a different sexual preference? “Love thy neighbor!”, “Do not judge lest ye be judged”. Are these all just words?
Joanaroo
If you weren’t brought up in a religion-would you feel the same way? Children don’t learn to hate other-race children unless they hear adults who make disparaging racial remarks. And in religion it’s no different – “my God is bigger than your God!”. If you were never around religion you likely would not have such a prejudiced world.
Joanaroo
And as for the straight-only capitalization on marriage-why do straight marriages last on average 2.5 years? I never married because I never met the right man and felt I wouldn’t go into marriage if it wasn’t to be. But why are we seeing these self-named devout religious committing adultery and many of these marrieds have children? So a gay couple together 20 or more years can’t marry? Yeah-the truth hurts.

Clearly their homosexual partnership can last perfectly well without having to redefine marriage and offend the majority of Americans.

Why do you assume the opposition to homosexual marriage or homosexual unions is based on hate?
You may disagree with someone of a different political persuasion and vote against them, does that mean you hate them?

Wisconsin Family Action = Religion
youcanthandlethetruth
@Brian: I see your religiophobia is playing up today.
Joanaroo
Let’s see: Who is this majority of Americans? I want names! Did you go and ask everyone how they voted? I would be willing to bet anyone who votes against gay marriage is likely a christian GOP member and I’m sure there is no love in their heart for gays when they pull that lever or light that light.
Joanaroo
I’m just curious of your age, YCHTT, and if you have ever sat down with a gay person and actually had a meaningful conversation. And actually listened to their point of view and personal history. I became interested in gay rights in college in the 80s when I really first met gays who were “out”. They have a story that should be listened to.
Joanaroo
I’d also like to know what this “majority of Americans” against changing the face of marriage thinks of adultery and the seeming popularity of it in their elected officials-Dems and the GOP both and also the religious leaders caught in adultery.
Joanaroo
Actually I think I know what the answer will be – if they’re straight and christian-well God will forgive them. I’m sure he must be getting sick of straight married people standing in line for forgiveness. It’s a sad state that marriage is im when children are involved. But hey, God will forgive you!
youcanthandlethetruth
@Joanaroo: You won’t hear me trying to defend adultery or the appalling divorce rates.
People should take marriage more seriously.
But redefining marriage to accommodate homosexuals has the opposite effect, it devalues marriage even further.
Joanaroo
http://www.spjcenter.org/intel/intelreport/article.jsp?aid=524. Well, I imagine some people in the groups mentioned at this page from the Southern Poverty Law Center voted against gay marriage.
Joanaroo
Here’s an example of Christian love of gays for readers:American Vision group-Gary DeMar-“occasional execution of ‘sodomites’ would serve society well, because “the law that requires the death penalty for homosexual acts effectively drives the perversion of homosexuality underground, back into the closet.”
Joanaroo
American Family Association:AFA Journal: gay influences will include “quick encounters in the middle school boys’ restroom” and the 1994 standby “homosexual leaders and publications have voiced support for pedophilia, incest, sadomasochism and even bestiality”. Feel the love, babe! Good night YCHTT!

Thank you for that. I really appreciate you for that.
i must admit i don’t see anything wrong with gay partners who would want to visit themselves if someone got admitted to a hospital. This just seems a bit mean. I am totally against gay marriage, gay clergy(oh..there im laughing again) and almost everything gay except maybe DADT and in some cases adoption.
Gay visitation rights should be allowed.
youcanthandlethetruth
@duttybarb: I agree. Many people carry a card saying they will donate organs in the event of a fatal accident. some states show it on the driving licence.
Why not have a card saying who can visit you in hospital?
I don’t believe we should deny hospital visitation to homosexual friends.
But I don’t believe we should redefine marriage to correct hospital visitation rules.

@Joanaroo: You’re wasting your breath discussing anything with those two trolls.
No one would visit those social misfits in the hospital anyway – except to pull the plug to wild applause.
