Antigay fliers were being distributed throughout a Queens neighborhood, tucked into car windows near 82nd Street and 34th Avenue and even pushed under apartment doors in various buildings throughout the area, the Jackson Heights Post reports.
Written in English and Spanish, these fliers quote Romans 1:18-32, which reads in part:
“Men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error… deserve to die.”
Though an investigation is ongoing, councilman Daniel Dromm points out there’s not too much that can be done legally; the biggest offense the flier distributors could face is a littering ticket. Still, he encourages residents to speak up if they see this happening.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“We have to teach that love is a good thing,” he said. “We have to eradicate this hatred against gay people.”

Here’s a flyer they can distribute:
Hail Mary full of grace,
Put that dick up in my face.
Now, pray about THAT bitches.

Silly Christians
Brian JC Kneeland
Sick people!

“For his invisible attributes ….. have been clearly perceived”…..
Amazing how people can waste time and money to distribute such meaningless gibberish.
Phranc Azzhee
find the mofo and stash all of em into his mouth and arse!

And when lgbt reacts to this and become vile, they’ll cry and whine about how we’re such a bully. Fucking idiots.

LOTS of Cuckoo-McNuttys still running around New York and environs.
Was it that Starbucks semen guy?
Kangol
Um, Jackson Heights is in QUEENS, not Brooklyn.
The gayborhood is very mixed, with large Latino, South Asian and East Asian populations, including many gay Latinos. There are lots of gay clubs there too.

The police can track him down easily!

Has a creepy Son of Sam vibe to it; I hope it doesn’t escalate beyond flyers.

You know, how come god isn’t way, way ahead of us. He only contributes to the bible. A really super, universe creating god has the power to have a Facebook acct, twitter acct–hell, he could be a contributing editor in LA Times, Washington Post, New York Times. It would really be nice to have god write an op-ed piece. Let us know what’s happening. Don’t write shit that happened two or three thousand years ago. Hell, god we all know that stuff is pretty passe and pretty much made-up–you know, god, old fashioned and pretty much untrue. Get hip–it’s 2015. God, really, I don’t have to tell you that. Get these bible bigots to loosen up. Tell ’em, we’re an overall good bunch.

Isn’t the Bible wonderful. I can find whatever I want to justify whoever I hate.

@Chris Tan: “The police can track him down easily!”
And charge him with littering? With more than 9,000 unsolved murders on the books, I think the N.Y.P.D. has bigger fish to fry. http://nypost.com/2013/10/19/nycs-most-notorious-cold-cases/

The Jackson Heights neighborhood can get rather rough. Too many real murders for the cops to worry about religious-fanatic flyers.
PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS
Pretty darn sure you would find the culprit at his usual spot at the local cruise area most nights…………..
GayEGO
This reeks of a homophobic that has extreme problems with his/her gender attraction and is trying to look like a straight religious person. The police should catch the perpetrator and require a therapeutical class about gender equality.

Before getting carried away with anything from Romans 18-32, we must realize this important fact about Paul and his writings. Let’s consider that whatever scripture says may not be useful or applicable for everyone.
Here’s why —
Paul, who authored most of the NT and most of the negativity about gay people, says this about his own knowledge and understanding —
1. …our knowledge is partial and incomplete…
2. …we see things imperfectly…
3. All that I know now is partial and incomplete…
(1 Corinthians 13:9,12)
Those are excellent examples that ‘teach us’ that scripture can be too partial, too incomplete and too imperfect to be meaningful for everybody in every situation.
We therefore must reason out anything and everything in scripture ‘as necessary’. That will help us to ‘effectively’ judge and evaluate a matter or people based on all reasonable, ‘current or modern’ attitudes, experiences and knowledge.
The search for new and better ways of accepting and understanding LGBT people using scripture is a worthy effort.
Surely it can be said that any LGBT issue is allowable, lawful and permissible according to 1 Corinthians 6:12 and 1 Corinthians 10:23.
Also, it can be said that —
‘Blessed’ are those who don’t feel guilty for being or doing what they have decided is right…..last part of Romans 14:22
Take special note the word ‘blessed’.
The continuing and modern work of the ‘Spirit of God’ is alive and well in the world.
