As of this writing, 2,029 people have signed an online petition urging Heinz to reinstate its controversial “gay kiss” mayonnaise commercial. While I question the impact of online petitions, I did sign that a few days ago when someone posted a link to it.

(Yeah, he’s a kid and makes some off-colour jokes about the gays but it’s refreshing to see a young, straight, male expressing disdain for homophobia)

Why would Heinz even pay attention to 200 complaints from a viewing/buying population of 10’s of millions? (kidz don’t count)

CitizenGeek, I checked out the kid’s vid. Indeed, some of his jokes were off-color, but I think his heart was in the right place.
