In what may not be a coincidental dovetailing of announcements, Starbucks has recently voiced its support for gay marriage and its plan to expand an evening menu of hot food, cheeses, and happy-hour beer and wine to select cities.
The marriage-equality plaudit comes as Washington State has gathered enough votes to pass legislation on the matter. Starbucks is headquartered in Seattle, where the evening menu has been a resounding success. Now they’re going to give it a try in five other locations, perhaps in Atlanta and Southern California. Does this mean California and Georgia are the next marriage-equality states?

How about we take this to the next level?

I love the quote, the idea of wine and cheese at Starbucks sounds wonderful, but
I had to give the story an LOL because of the suggestion that Georgia could become
one of the next states with marriage equality. While Atlanta recognizes its diverse
population, it’s not representative of the state as a whole, sadly.
BTW, I’m originally from the Seattle area, so kudos to my old home state for
possibly becoming the next state with marriage equality.
