WATCH: Stephen Colbert Denounces Jason Collins, Eulogizes Straight America

Last night on The Colbert Report, America’s favorite faux pundit — fundit, if you will — weighed in on the second coming out of NBA player Jason Collins, lamenting the loss of some of his favorite b-ball terms: “take it to the hole”; “jamming the rim”; and our personal fave, “Hey, let’s touch each other’s penises.”

Colbert then went on to discuss the final days of straight America, which, honestly, has had a decent run. It’s gay all the way from queer on out!

    He came out for money anyways….doing something for money will always stay the same, Stephen

  • Scribe38

    @balehead: You don’t believe any of it has to due with living his own truth? He is at point in his life and career where he feels safe enough to come out and live his life. Every time someone public comes out, there is a line of gay people complaining that it wasn’t done the way that they would have liked. Gay folks need to support each other, instead of tearing gay folks down, that’s what the GOP is for.

  • balehead

    Apparaently Scribe has no problem supporting children’s sweat shop products as long as a gay athlete endorses it…very telling…

  • Dakotahgeo

    I’ve got to hand it to Stephen Colbert… he is everyone’s comedian, even for the progressive, liberals such as myself. Jon Stewart’s evil twin… he is not! Good goin’ Mr. CD!

  • hf2hvit

    @balehead: So…you were there???

  • Mark Jenkins

    For some reason he thinks he’s funny- Only those who watch his kind of trash will be tempted to take him seriously. I’ve never watched his show and thought he spoiled the Oscars. From what I Have seen of him, he’s always seemed a bit of a closet case to me anyway.

  • singforfood

    Who is that asshole making the Nazi Germany reference? How convenient for him to leave out the pink triangles.

  • Homophile

    @Mark Jenkins:

    “I’ve never watched his show”

    Then anything you say about him lacks creditability. Noted.

  • Homophile

    Hyperbole and strawmen? Is that the best you got?

  • LandStander

    @Mark Jenkins: Dude, he is KIDDING. He plays a character who seems conservative on the surface, but is really just a method used to show how stupid they are. He makes awesome points, using sarcasm. Watch just 1 episode before you judge, it is easy to be fooled into thinking he really is a conservative if you just hear snippets lol.

  • LandStander

    “Yes, they are calling us hurtful names like bigot and homophobe, when we are just helpfully pointing out that they are deviant abominations who are going to hell. There is no need to get personal!” LOL example A.

  • Dakotahgeo

    @LandStander: You are right on the mark, LS! Jon Stewart is to Progressives/Democrats as Stehen Colbert is to stupid Republicans/TPods! The only sad part is, the Repug/TPods…aren’t even ware…………. Unnnnngh!!!

  • Scribe38

    @balehead: As long as none of those poor children are gay, I’m all for it.

  • Yiannis

    I wonder why, more often than not, the first comment is posted by a troll… Maybe quick reflexes go with the job description.

    @balehead: I yet to find a bigger IDIOT on
    Qeerty then you are. Yes you are not that educated hole. AdamHomo

  • Dakotahgeo

    @DOFEK: At least balehead wasn’t so ugly that his mother bottlefed him… ohh, your poor mother, DOFEK! It must have been difficult to eat through that bag on your head. Lack of nourishment does stun your intelligence.

  • Dresden

    @Dakotahgeo: What’s your excuse?

  • Dakotahgeo

    @Dresden: I only reply to serious, intelligent comments. In you case, I felt sorry for you and took pity.
