BIG DADDY SHAME

Still “Not Gay”: Hip-Hop DJ Mister Cee Arrested for Trying to Pick Up Male Hooker

mister-ceeMister Cee, the popular deejay for New York’s Hot 97, has been caught with his pants down yet again, only this time not so figuratively.

Cee, real name Calvin LeBrun, was best known as Big Daddy Kane’s deejay and as an associate producer on the Notorious B.I.G.’s seminal Ready to Die. That was until he got busted getting some road head in a parked car in 2011. Since then, he’s been dodging the occasional shade in the still-homophobic world of hip-hop.

Aaaaaaand, we’ve got a blackout.

Cee was arrested for soliciting an undercover cop in the guise of a male prostitute (best job ever?) last week in Brooklyn. He went on Hot 97 Monday morning to address the incident, which he described as a “sting operation.”

According to Cee, he was approached by a female officer who solicited him for sex.”They tried to turn it around and say the female officer was a male officer,” Cee said.

Sure that sounds like the title of a Catherine Zeta-Jones vehicle, but the Oscar-winner never starred in Bullshit. Either way, that’s Cee’s story and he’s sticking to it.

“Let’s say if I’m lying, that’s my choice,” Cee argued. “If I’m lying and I chose not to come out, that’s my choice.”

MTV notes that as Cee spoke, a Hot 97 DJ “began to play Aly-Us’ ‘Follow Me,’ a ’90s dance record often associated with the gay club community.” So, with this welcoming atmosphere, it’s no wonder that Cee has decided to “suspend” himself for a while.

“I’ma suspend myself, I’ma take myself off the radio,” he said. “I’ma take some time off and I’ma suspend myself.” Maybe during his self-imposed suspension, Cee should hang out with Mykki Blanco, Cakes da Killa and Le1f for some hip-hop homo support. Cue gay supergroup.
