Stop Interfering With Vince Vaughn’s Right To Tell Stupid, Awful, Unfunny Jokes

Let me add my voice of support to the people outraged by the bullying and persecution of people for their differences, whatever those differences may be. Comedy and joking about our differences breaks tension and brings us together. Drawing dividing lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us. Most importantly, where does it stop.

—Actor Vince Vaughn, excusing The Dilemma‘s gay jokes because we need to be able to laugh at our differences. So there. Again, I’d be more inclined to agree with Vince if his jokes were worth laughing at, but this scene was totally gay.

I remember when he was considered hot and his films relevant. God, that seems like a long time ago.

  • Bryan

    That’s so stupid it’s straight!

  • Marcus M.

Everything about Vince Vaughn reminds me why I’m gay. He just makes straightness looks so unappealing.

  • Kerry

Maybe movies would be funnier if they added jokes about ugly, fat, white, straight mediocre actors who make one bad movie after the another.

  • Kieran

The poor impressionable kids of today who go to the movies and have to watch brain-numbing drivel disguised as “entertainment”. Ofcourse the kids don’t know any better. And the message these kids get from our “liberal friends” in Hollywood who’ll stoop to anything if they think they’ll make a buck: It’s hip and cool to make fun of homos, faggots and queers because….. they’re so gay.

  • David

Vince Vaughn is a pig… and he eats too much.

  • the crustybastard

Wow. They’re doing movies about white guys now?

  • FYI

“Drawing dividing lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us. Most importantly, where does it stop.” ~ Hack Actor Vince Vaughn vomited forth his defense of scripted homophobic crap justifying “hey, you know the queers are always good for a laugh or two now that doing black-face comedy is frowned upon”.

Hey, Vinny, got any funny lines about Nazi concentration camps during WWII or knee-slappers about the ethnic cleansing in the Sudan today? HO! HO! No, really Vince? After all “Drawing dividing lines over what we can and cannot joke about does exactly that; it divides us.” So, let’s all come together and demean oppressed people for the sake of unity. Now, that’s a winning strategy for getting along, isn’t it?

    …But that’s sooooooo Vince (aka dumb-ass)!!!

PS- But, what do you expect from “dopey Opy’s” trite movie? After all, Ron Howard is the same homophobic asshole who de-gayed “A Beautiful Mind”. Go figure.

  • Casey

Is Vince Vaughn an alcoholic? He certainly has the look of an ugly drunk about him.

  • Aaron

Oh Vince, you really don’t get it, do you?
And shame on Queen Latifah for being in that scene and not saying a thing about. The fact that she is still in the closet is case in point as to why this was wrong.

  • Casey

Queen Latifah is a contemptible coward for colluding in homophobia.

Vince Vaughn is a mean spirited alcoholic.

  • Mr. Enemabag Jones

I’ll believe what he says, when Hollywood starts making films with white people making fun of racial minorities. Right now, only blacks can make fun of blacks. Latinos, latinis. Asians, asians. Jews, jews. Yet, everyone and their mother ridicules queer people. Hell, according to Chris Rock, only black people can say nigger, but everyone can say faggot.

  • Toby

It looks like someone is wearing a Vince Vaughn fat suit.

    What a tub of lard.

  • That Bitch Téa Delgado

I remember growing up in the 80s, where practically every other word in a teen movie was “faggot” or “queer.” I thought that was over and then a friend dragged me to see The Hangover; when the “Paging Dr. Faggot” joke came up, I almost walked out. Now, this. It’s repulsive. And it needs to end.

  • Joe

@That Bitch Téa Delgado: I agree with you. All my friends encouraged me to go see “Tha Hangover” saying I would love it. I found its homophobia repulsive. And I have yet to see a Ron Howard film I have liked, so I will pass on this lame-o-straight-o movie with the bloated white whale Vaughn.
