French Olympic swimmers Florent Manaudou and Frédérick Bousquet stripped off their speedos and hit the showers for an anti-homophobia campaign shot by Olivier Ciappa.
Manaudou and Bousquet are part of the photographer’s “imaginary couples” series, of which Ciappa says, “You’re with the person you love. Not a man, not a woman. Then, at the session, I disappear, for they are one with each other.”
France has had a few problems, shall we say, with the level of anti-gay violence, especially with the passage of marriage equality earlier this year, thus reminding the world that the otherwise seemingly progressive nation is still staunchly Catholic.
Bousquet is actually partnered with Manaudou’s sister, Laure, and they have a daughter together so she shouldn’t mind too much — it’s a family affair.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Meanwhile, let’s all take a moment to remember the time Flo and Fréd were in this underwear ad for HOM:

Straight and French? Somehow those two don’t go together. France is a bi and gay guy’s dream
