The Supreme Court issued four decisions today on cases argued in April, but no opinion still on the March-argued cases involving marriage. All four cases were unanimous decisions.
The next date for issuing opinions is Monday, June 17, at 10 a.m. EDT. The court has 19 left to issue this session.
According to the court’s public information office, the last day of the session is not yet known, but many veteran observers expect it to be Monday, June 24, or soon thereafter.

My partner and I are going to Newport, RI, at the end of June. It would be nice to have two good verdicts from the SCOTUS to go along with our celebration of marriage in Rhode Island!

Trust me. They are not going to announce until the last day, on the way out the door, running like a bunch of chickens being chased by a fox. No matter what the decision it will have repercussions. Lets hope they do the right thing and not repeat another Dredd Scott decision.
