SHADY SLIM

Surprise! Eminem’s New Hit Song Is Homophobic

eminem (1)

Seems like the real Slim Shady is at it again. Eminem (remember him?) is back on the scene with the new song “Rap God” from his forthcoming album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 and, well, he still hates the gays.

Here are a few EXTREMELY VIOLENT AND HOMOPHOBIC sample lines from the little ditty, which currently sits near the top of the charts on iTunes:

“I’ll still be able to break a motherfuckin’ table over the back of a couple of faggots and crack it in half.”

“You fags all think it’s a game till I walk a flock of flames. Off of planking, tell me what the fuck are you thinking little gay looking boy, so gay I can barely say it with a straight face looking boy.”

Still the charmer, we see. Eminem has yet to comment on the homophobic lyrics as they’re just starting to gain traction in mainstream outlets. Whether full scale outrage and a boycott will come to fruition remains to be seen, but something tells us this latest provocation is just another desperate attempt by a faded rapper well past his prime to gain attention .

Fool us once, Eminem, shame on you.  Fool us twice, shame on us.

    Business as usual.

  • Mr. E. Jones

He’s desperate for attention and knows anti-gay lyrics will get it for him. Sadly, straight society accepts this.

  • Bozen

    Who cares.
    It’s not a big deal.

  • Red_Dragon_888

    who is he?

  • haringfan1

    Eminem homophobic? Shocking.

  • robho3

    he’s so irrelevant—who cares

  • lthrmuscl

elton john will now vacation with him and have him on his next record

  • ChiChi Man

@lthrmuscl: Yep, and Sir Elton will name Mr. Mathers as godfather to his children — for a fee.

  • Dixie Rect

What did he do to his face? Is that really him? Wow.

  • Caliban

I certainly hope Sir Elton doesn’t break a hip scrambling to stand by Eminem to whitewash his image yet again!

  • hotshot70

it’s this homophobes birthday. Send him a giant black dildo and make him take it…

  • Mikah

What a closet case. He’s probably bisexual or something, fucking moron.

  • jmmartin

What I want to know is, will Elton John sing another duet with him?

  • Kieran

Would eminem be able to get away with this if his song lyrics used slurs for blacks or threatened violence against Jews? Somebody is enabling this kind of bullshit. We should know who it is. Who are the producers of this album? Who are the people paying this jerk millions of dollars for promoting hate and violence against gay people?

  • Rockery

The best thing about this is Slim Shitty is fading into obscurity, this is his last ditch effort to become relevant and its not working…

    Bye…..

“walk a flock of flames” is a shitty line that doesn’t even make sense as a pun, it doesn’t even work a word play.

Article should be called “Surprise! Eminem’s New Hit Song Just Isn’t All That Good, Really.”

  • Aaron

I don’t think he was targeting gay people. The word “fag” and “gay” are used differently in younger culture and hiphop. I’m not saying I condone it but just pointing out a cultural fact.

  • Gryphun609

I think what happened to his face is that he is wondering if his homophobic rants will garner his anal rape. He’s too much of a man to ask someone to pop his cherry and to self loathing to have it taken gently!
Poor Em, would one of you recently paroled ass rapers please help this guy out (of the closet). He does protest way to much, a sure sign of a bottom queen screaming to get out of the closet. With the added deniability as it (his virginity)was forced from him. It’s not your fault Em!

  • Bozen

@Aaron: Hit the nail on the head.

We have become a sensitive, boy-who-cried-wolf society though, due to the media’s love of exploiting “bully culture”.

People make things -so much more- than what they really are now

  • LadyL

@Bozen: Oh, right. Because lyrics like “I’ll still be able to break a motherfuckin’ table over the back of a couple of faggots” is totally innocuous and harmless. Please.

  • J.c.

@Aaron: Yeah that is what I was thinking. Slim Shady is his “bad boy” persona he creates as an actor does a character. . Problem is that HE with his social evolution knows better and Im sure realizes that some people who listen won’t understand in what context his words are written and it will encourage violence in people that are Homophobic. Like others in this forum I disappointedly have to admit that even though I don’t believe EM is in reality homophobic anymore personally, he is selling out his true beliefs in order to try and get back the attention he has lost. “fading Rapper” someone called him. Yes he is fading but not really because of his age per say but because Rap and hip hop is fading away from the mainstream, FINALLY! and not soon enough.

  • Bozen

@LadyL: I don’t take offense to that. I’m sorry you do, but to me it’s just a rap song in vernacular with an ultimate purpose to sell money.

Unless Eminem (sp?) actually takes a table, smashes on some guy and yells “You homosexual faggot!”, it is -absolutely- harmless.

Also, I saw him once at Bonaroo – he’s really short. Shorter than me, and I’m 5’6

  • Palmer Scott

@Bozen: Do you really think the problem would be city HIM attacking somebody?

Cowards like this only incite the violence! It’s his fans/followers we have to worry about.

  • Patsy Stoned

Damn he gets uglier by the second. Once a White Trash attention whore, always a White Trash attention whore.

  • Andy

Thank God he is completely irrelevant these days. His success is long gone. And the gays never liked him anyway… except for stupid Elton John.

  • Sebizzar

@Aaron: Are we really going to make this argument again? It’s still homophobic language being spread, no matter what “culture” is using it.

  • Rockery

    @boring:

Unless you are a hip hop fan (or listen to all of Britney’s songs in my case) you might not get it, “Waka Flocka Flame” is a rapper so that is the reference, I only know that from Britney & Will i am’s Scream & Shout Remix of which Waka Flocka Flame was a guest artist

Eminem still is a homophobe and now on the z list

  • FStratford

I bet that asswipe, russian apologist, Elton Jon will br hsppy his buddy is singing sgsin

  • Cam

Guess we’re seeing the REAL reason things didn’t work out with his high school girlfriend and why he hasn’t gotten married since.

Nobody is THAT homophobic without being a complete closet case.

  • BJ McFrisky

Queerty editors should know better than to give this POS any free press, regardless of how innocuous it might be.

  • boring

@Rockery: 0h, I like Rap Music, the point still stands: “Walk A Flock of Flames” doesn’t work from any standpoint, regardless of it being a reference to Flocka. Objectively, it’s a horrible line.

  • nf0603

@Andy: I hate to play devils advocate as I’m not a fan of his. But facts speak for themselves. Eminem’s last album from 2010 sold four million copies (same as Gaga’s The Fame) and had two #1 singles. He’s hardly faded away, he just hadn’t been offending gay people lately so he hadn’t been on GLAAD’s radar.

  • Charles175

    @Gryphun609: That’s cruel (but true)!! LOL. :-)

  • KDub

@Palmer Scott: It may not be the popular opinion, but Bozen actually has a point. People won’t go out gay-bashing because of Eminem. They’ll go out gay-bashing because the idea of homosexuality repulses them. I don’t believe entertainment influences people to do things they never thought of doing on their own. If it’s in you, it’s in you. I’ve not read about even one crime where Eminem lyrics were cited as the cause for the attack.

  • pauleky

@KDub: So, you’re saying we should ignore it under the assumption it doesn’t incite violence? Bullshit. I really hope you’re not on the wrong end of one of these bashings. Will you blame yourself because someone finds you “repulsive?”
