Two swastikas were discovered carved into the home of New York State Senator Brad Hoylman, where he lives with his husband and daughter.
Holyman, whoâs gay and Jewish, believes the incident is directly tied to Donald Trumpâs election and particularly his appointment of Steve Bannon as Trumpâs chief strategist.

Police report that the swastikas were found on an elevator door inside the Fifth Avenue apartment.
âI came home this evening to news that two swastikas has been discovered in the apartment building where I live with my husband and daughter in Greenwich Village,â he posted on Facebook.
The NYPD Hate Crimes unit is investigating. This comes three days after swastikas were drawn on the doors of nearby students at The New School. Meanwhile, Stephen Bannon, an anti-Semitic, white nationalist has been named as the senior strategist to President-elect Donald J. Trump. Connect the dots.

Mayor Bill De Blasio was quick to offer his support to Hoylman on Twitter:
@BradHoylman, millions of New Yorkers stand with you tonight against anti-Semitism. Hate has no place in NYC. #NotInOurCity

Thanks, Trump.

Hey @1EqualityUSA,
By the way, whatever happened to Robby Mook? He has been MIA since election day, specifically election night.
I wonder if he will resurface as soon as the swelling goes down. I would imagine one of those thrown champagne bottles can leave a mark.

Alistair who? The same ass who said, “The Obama Administration had both the House and the Senate his first two years. What obstructionism did he face then? What did he accomplish?” and when thoroughly refuted and facts are laid out for him, year after year, poof, gone. Stupid man. Ignore this one.

Troll: “In Internet slang, a troll is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response.”

@1EqualityUSA:
Did the Obama Administration control the House and the Senate the first two years of his Administration? Yes or No? Did they not have a majority in both Houses of Congress? Yes or no?
You are the one that quoted the wrong Senate numbers to me when I pointed out how Obamacare passed without ONE Republican Senator.

wha…what’s that? Queerty’s Musca Domestica, doing a fly over again, leaving spots on the window and dining on lawn monuments. Ignore the troll. Do not feed the troll.
Alistair Wiseman
@1EqualityUSA:
Thanks for the definition of “troll”.
Would your first post on this thread be a good example of trolling?
As always @1EqualityUSA, thank you for always supplying an example when I need one. You’re sweet. đ

Principled conservatives, especially those in leadership positions, have a political and moral duty to condemn, and to work to eradicate, the animus that is the alt-rightâs raison dâĂŞtre, and to uphold the pillars of the American project. That project is more than metaphysical abstractions; but it is also not a simple matter of blut und boden. No, Steve Bannon is not Josef Goebbels. But he has provided a forum for people who spend their days photoshopping pictures of conservatives into ovens. To conservative and liberal alike, that he has the ear of the next president of the United States (a man of no particular convictions, and loyal to no particular principles) should be a source of grave concern â and an occasion for common cause in the crucial task of the years to come: vigilance.

@Alistair Wiseman: Wars are about exterminating enemies until 1 gets what they want be it land, water, etc. During WW2, we bombed German, Italian & Japanese cities believing they would surrender. The 3 year old German, Italian & Japanese kids are innocent. Mufti Amin Al Husseini wanted Jews out of Arab lands & would use exterminating war to get this, but don’t think Mufti wanted all Jews exterminated. His view was similar to Hitler’s. Hitler’s view would be that if let’s say the Jews & Gypsies lived in India (Gypsies originally are from India) that he wouldn’t care, but that they would be exterminated if they refused to leave places of Nazi power.
his would be an exterminating war, but I don’t think it’s exterminate no matter what. Mufti Amin Al Husseini is minor with Nazi Germany. Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini is friend who Hitler had. Nazi Germany’s alliance with Axis Japan was not trustworthy. Axis Allies Mannerheim (Finland), Horthy (Hungary), Antonescu (Rumania), King Boris (Bulgaria) & other puppets were not friends. Don’t think Hitler needed Mufti Amin Al Husseini advice.

poof, gone.

@1EqualityUSA:
Thank you for the ‘National Review’ article with its soft defense of Steve Bannon, but I already read it last night.
However, I must be missing something as your own admonition was, “Ignore the the troll. Do not feed the troll.”
It wasn’t a complete waste though, as you made it through a whole post without resorting to name calling. Baby steps. đ

Anyone have a spare fly swatter?
ErikO
This sounds fake or he or his partner did it just for attention or to protest, like 99.9% of the supposed hate crimes against LGBT people and “people of color” and even Muslim people since the election of Donald Trump as President are turning out to be.
Jack Meoff
Welcome to your next 4 years America. Deal with it.
MarioSmario
More fake news. Thanks for flaming the ignorance, Queerty. From the same people who defended Muslims after the Pulse nightclub attack. That would have been your future if something wasn’t done to stop it.
darian
@ErikO: Yeah because something like that could never happen to a gay Jewish person….. Or any lgbtq person or person of color. Those oh so peaceful neo-Nazi’s white supremacist guys would never do that they love everybody right? I think you got lost on the way to gay patriot fella.

As known, most Arabs aren’t White while most Jews are White. Israel’s policy towards Palestinians is arrogant (Palestinians have = right to be there), but wouldn’t compare that to Apartheid. Boycotting Israel & non-violent protests against Israel is fine. If Syria wants to negotiate Golan Heights return, then so be it. Murder is wrong. Stabbing a 12 year old Jewess girl is cowardly regardless of how bad Israel is towards Palestinians. Either negotiate peacefully or fight a war where military of Israel & Syria fight each other. If Palestinian State wants to declare war on Israel, then that is 1 thing. Terrorism is wrong. Killing an enemy in a war is 1 thing. Terrorism such as stabbing a 12 year old girl is cowardly. Negotiate peacefully or fight a war.
Mufti Amin Al Husseini sought alliance with Adolf Hitler to fight British rule in Palestine the same way as Indian leader Subhas Chandra Bose sought help from Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Axis Japan to fight for Indiaâs independence from the British. Arabs have said that accusation made that the Mufti Amin Al Husseini was a Nazi who took part in Holocaust is because of the Arab-Jewish (esp. Palestinian) conflicts such as 1948 war, 6 day 1967 war, and that if Hindus and Jews were fighting each other, Indian leader Subhash Chandra Bose would get the same accusation as the Mufti does today.
