Lights, models, guest list…it’s coming back darling.
Writer/actress Jennifer Saunders, best known as Edina on the cult British comedy Absolutely Fabulous, dropped a shocker while interviewing John Plowman, the TV producer who oversaw the series in its various incarnations. The interview took place at the esteemed Cheltenham Literature Festival, an international culture festival in the UK.

“I am thinking at the moment of writing a little something,” Jennifer quipped during their interview. “It has to be age-appropriate otherwise we’d have to be in wheelchairs basically.”
How about we take this to the next level?

Absolutely Fabulous followed the misadventures of the hard drinking, drugging, misanthrope Edina Monsoon and her best friend Patsy (played by Joanna Lumley). The show began in 1992 and ran three seasons before concluding with a telefilm. The overwhelming popularity of the show prompted several revivals, including a full series revival in 2001 and a feature film in 2016.
Saunders had previously declared the series “dead” following the release of the 2016 film. With revivals in fashion, however, who wouldn’t expect Patsy & Eddie to show up for one more party?

I hope she was lying, like Cher about her farewell concerts, and we get more Ab Fab!

I can’t wait–Ab Fab was one of the funniest shows on TV.

“Praise Jesus! Did Big Daddy touch you, Marshal?”
“Did you eat Patsy?”
“Not since 1973.”

Dear God this would be the greatest Christmas gift ever! To get more AbFab! I recently discovered the show at the start of last summer and I devoured everything there was to it including the feature film and I enjoyed every single second. I was left wanting more!

Such a great show way back in the nineties with a huge gay following! Glad its coming back. For me the movie was ok, I expected a bit more from it as it did not capture the essence of the TV series. Do we know a date approximately of the release??

NOW this is TV worth it! If one is of a ‘certain’ generation These Gals are the balls we had even before they dropped and after we shaved them. MORE MORE MORE real comedy with a bit of sting. Kinda makes some folk wake up and play in life.
