We can’t think of a better way to celebrate a 21st birthday than by unburdening all the baggage that comes with being in the closet, and Taylor Bennett clearly agrees.
The hip-hop artist, who is also Chance the Rapper’s younger brother, came out as bi in a series of Tweets on Wednesday, letting his fans know he’s comfortable with who he is.
He wrote:
My birthday is tomorrow & moving into next year I’d like to be more open about myself to help others that struggle with the same issues… Growing up I’ve always felt indifferent about my sexuality & being attracted 2 one sex & today I would like to openly come out to my fans… I do recognize myself as a bisexual male & do & have always openly supported the gay community & will keep doing so in 2017.
#ThankYou’
Here’s how it looked on his Twitter feed:
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

His brother sent out this message of support shortly after:
Love this man right here, through any and all. He has grown into a great man. He’s got God and me behind him, he cannot fail he cannot fall pic.twitter.com/o0szrB5dBk

BET marked the occasion by sending people to a blog post about out and proud celebs:
In honor of @_TaylorBennett coming out as bisexual, here are celebs who live out & proud!https://t.co/1PQr2pCok6

Check out a track from Taylor, “Broad Shoulders,” featuring big brother Chance the Rapper, below:

Live your truth, man. Life is too damn short. Now him and Frank Ocean need to hook up and become a prominent Rap/R&B gay same sex couple. Unless P. Diddy and Mase got back together. Chance the Rapper seems like a great person, too, and we need more alternative/ode to old school rap like his. I love his sound… and The Internet and Tyler the Creator.

Must have been chopping oinions or something, but I teared up a bit reading this. When was 21, I was so deep in the closet, slipping out in the dark of night to walk the side streets to the popular Gay club downtown. To think that young people feel free enough to share their lives openly like this on social media. It’s a beautiful turn of events.

BET had better update the info on their list, because at least one person is deceased (Miss Cleo) and one didn’t make the NFL (Michael Sam)
Aromaeus
He’s cuter than his brother.

Congratulations to him.
