A manhunt is underway for two unidentified men in relation to a violent antigay incident in London.
The 19-year-old victim was traveling on the Tube between West Ham and Noth Greenwich stops when he and his friends were approached by two men.
As reported in The Evening Standard, the men began verbally harassing the group, using homophobic slurs.
According to the victim, when the men were called out on their homophobia, they became even more aggravated. They threatened to stab the victim and put him in a headlock.

When one of the victim’s friends attempted to help, she was “punched and pushed to the ground,” said police.

British Transport Police is treating the attack as a hate crime.
A police spokesperson said: “They demanded the victim apologize for being gay which eventually the victim did as he was struggling to breathe.
“They then let him go and handed back his phone and a fight ensued between the victim’s friends and the offenders. One of the victim’s friends, a 25-year-old woman, was punched and pushed to the ground. She sustained bruising.”
“Hate crime will not be tolerated by British Transport Police. We believe that everyone has the right to travel safety. We won’t tolerate behavior where someone is targeted because they are perceived to be different, or made to feel uncomfortable on their journey.”

Iraboon is probably right (statistically speaking). If we are happy to point out the dangers of Christianity, we must be able to do so for islam, too. Bigotedness among western muslims is significantly greater than non-muslims (52% of UK muslims think homosexuality should be illegal).

Goforit actually, muslims aren’t a race…they are a religion. There are European, American, African muslims. In fact the LARGEST ethnic population of muslims are….Asian…specifically Indonesian. Stop pretending Christianity and Islam are the same. The US is a majority Christian nation, and yet, they don’t execute gays or throw them in jail like they do in most Muslim countries.

I saw the footage, and yes, I would agree the two aggressors are most likely muslim. As I’ve mentioned previously, the UK is extremely “gay friendly” to put it mildly, where any/all hate-crime (even verbal) against the LGBT population is punishable of up to 15 years in jail. The only group in London who still frequently targets the LGBT population in London is in fact the muslim community. And closings one’s eyes/pretending it’s “racist” to call this fact out will only empower more such incidents.
Of course I would NEVER expect anyone here to take anything I say at my word, and will always provide sources to back up what I say…so take a look at what Queerty’s “sister site” and everyone’s favorite ultra-liberal newsrag has to say:

Knight – I’d like your opinion of Aethel the unread’s rebuttal of Johann’ article. It is very long and there are several things where Aethel just nitpicks but some of his points seem substantial – especially where he quotes Johann’s previous articles against himself. We should note Johanns article appears to have been written in 2011 and some of it maybe has been retracted. There is so much I could say on both sides – Aethel is being disingenuous when he questions the Muslim schoolteacher story for example – everyone knows you have to tow the line by repeating your employer’s position especially if you work for a religious school.
