So that American Idol loser with the terrible hair? He’s extending his stay in pop culture thanks to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, which means we must continue caring what comes out of his mouth! Like when Sanjaya Malakar insists, laughably, that he’s not a homosexual. Alas, Adam Lambert didn’t bring all the boys to the yard.
Fellow contestants on I’m A Celebrity — which airs four nights a week on NBC, and includes live segments — began quizzing Sanjaya on whether he likes dem boys or dem girls. Among them: Holly Montag, barely famous for being the sister of reality tart Heidi Montag.
“I just feel like [fellow Celebrity contestant Janice Dickinson] wants you to be gay or something,” Holly told Sanjaya. He responded: “She really does. Like, yeah, a lot of people want me to be their gay best friend and I make a really good gay best friend, but I, don’t like guys, so it confuses people. … I connect with gay people really well because we understand each other I’m like, ‘Hey!’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, hey!’ and I’m like, ‘No, but I’ll hang out with you.’ … A lot of my friends refer to me as their ‘straight gay best friend’ because we’ll go do things that stereotypically you would do with a gay guy.”
All of which, perplexingly, led to this.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.

JD doesn’t need Sanjaya as a gay best friend. She has some of the hottest men in the country at her beck and call and has the premiere gay best friend. If she thinks Sanjaya is gay its probably because he is. This of course is all completely scripted anyways, like the vast majority of reality TV.

Yeaaaahhhhh, And Clay Aiken said he was straight also for years.

So apparently you don’t need to be a celebrity to be on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?

@Woof: You need to make the D list. Seriously, do you honestly think real celebrities would touch this show? Spratbrat (Spencer and Pratt) left this show three times (with the last one finally sticking) after claims that he is the most famous man in the world and that everyone else here was below him and that he was the kind of celebrity. Whoopi told Spencer how it was, when he was on The View, about the fact that he is outliving his image on borrowed time unless he gets some real talent.

Why is there a need to call people out on their sexuality?
anyway
I feel genuine sympathy for poor little Sanjaya.
Remember, my mature and self-aware homo brothers, this boy is only 19 years old. Yes, the kids these days are coming to terms with their sexuality gads earlier than when we were kids — but cut him some slack.
It’s completely plausible that he just hasn’t come to terms with his sexuality. (Ha! Maybe I’m the jerk for concluding, too, that there’s no way he’s straight, but oh well.)
Personally, I think the kid is pretty likeable — and it’s just unfortunate that he was thrust on the American Idol scene for the talent of having an attractive personality (cuz we all know it wasn’t for the talent of having singing well.)
… OMG, did I just a Chris “Leave Britney Alone” Crocker moment?… I need a life!

Makes you appreciate Adam Lambert’s recent candidness, doesn’t it?
Hh
He is likeable and probably gay but doesn’t know it yet. Leave him alone. Let’s stop focusing on sexuality until it becomes a non issue like hair colour. There will never be equality as long a gay person has to make an announcement and ‘come out’ as gay. If we stop talking about it, we can change that.

But I want him to be gay! He is hot!
