Back when he was a fresh-faced, tattoo-free, un-Posh teenage dream just joining Manchester United, David had to bend it like Beckham to the picture of an ’80s soccer star who had better hair than he did.
“The fact that I had to look at Clayton Blackmore’s calendar and do certain things, while looking at Clayton Blackmore,” Becks told Metro UK of his initiation to the team. “I mean it was embarrassing to talk about!”
There’s nothing to be embarrassed about — I’d take that mustache for a ride any old day. But Metro UK reports the former footballer was “forced to recall the full scale of the horror” — relax, it’s not like he went down on the entire team…or did he? — on camera for the documentary, The Class of 92.
“I was embarrassed when I was saying it on camera let alone talking about it more,” Beckham said. “But it’s something that we all had to go through. It was definitely something I wouldn’t like to go through again!”
Has Becks seen Clayton Blackmore recently?
