Sure, there’s a lovely message coming out of Rosie O’Donnell’s new family documentary A Family Is a Family Is a Family, where parents and children in, ahem, “non-traditional” families (gay, single-parent, mixed-race) talk about their experiences. But we’ll be tuning in to the Jan. 31 premiere not because we need a reminder about how two dads and two moms can create families, but because ZOMG these kids are freakin’ adorable.
And because it’s not Riding the Bus with My Sister.

“Paint My House!” ROTFL! Leave Rosie be, she could take Prime Time in a Dime!

Ummm… someone is forgetting about A League of Their Own, which, as a gay blog, is somewhat inexcusable!

Hats off to the casting director. I am sure the conditions behind the casting included Rosie HAVING to shut her fat ugly mouth up or they too would walk out on her and leave this wonderful project unfinished. Those kids are what sell this.
This frustrated lesbian (O’Donnell) needs help bad. Notice how with kids that cute around her she still gave the room a very somber feeling? I never cared for her since she never denied that her and Madonna had conspired together on Madonna’s going on Oprah a few years back and making such a spectacle behind the scenes with BITCHY demands (certain types of chocolates and throwing not one but THREE tantrums) Oprah actually cried at the end of the show and vowed she would never have her back on it again.
Oprah relented a few years later when Madonna had some “children’s” book she supposedly authored. If I were Oprah (and Gayle King reminded Oprah about that and several other things that tramp Madonna said and did) I would have reminded her during that taping what an ass she acted like and then asked “what do you and Rosie talk about now, bitch” but Oprah is too classy for a cat fight with two washed out lesbians.
Not once have I ever seen a picture of Rosie where she does not look like a frustrated lesbian with a chip on her shoulder. This would have been PERFECT if Rosie had stayed out of it.

This looks great. Showing loving, healthy happy LGBT families, I’m always for that. I’d watch it…

God those kids are so cute!!!
my four cents
Sorry to say it, but as a happy healthy dyke mom, I don’t want Rosie O’Donnell as our BigGayFamily poster child- she’s done great things for kids with her charities, to be sure, but she’s also know as a BigLoudBully. Somehow, I think her personal agenda is all about keeping that BigLoudBully ego in the glare of the spotlight- and not so much about raising healthy happy children in our very crazy world.

I liked Rosie in “Wide Awake” as well.
Kids are VERY cute.
