Brace yourself for the sudden onset of warm fuzzies (or the involuntary rolling of eyes into your skull, depending on your sensibilities.) During a recent taping of Inside the Actor’s Studio, The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons regaled James Lipton with the tale of how he met partner Todd Speiwak, the man he’s been dating since 2002.

To set the scene: it was a blind date at a karaoke bar.
“I hate karaoke,” Lipton crowed. “Oh my God do I hate — Tell them what song you sang.”
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Dramatic pause.
“‘I Found Someone’,” Parsons responded.
In the face of such cuteness, all the rest of us can do is pick up the pieces and try to move on with our lives.

Is that it?

Oh, “I Found Someone”. Big Whoop. I serenaded Mr. Glücklich at our wedding with a medley of Peaches’ “Fuck the Pain Away” and Prince’s “Erotic City”.

It’s like the first High School Musical movie with adults.

Look world, a gay actor actually can give a well rounded interview now because they don’t have to pretend that they’re just too busy for a girlfriend.

Huh?????

@Blazipitous: Exactly. This isn’t an article. This is a few sentences that don’t have any context to make sense…

@Cam: Fair point! I guess the fact that this story got told at all is worth nothing.
The story itself though…barf, ha ha.

Same old obnoxious gay snark in the comments section that doesn’t catch the significance of pieces like this (though I am glad to see that Cam pointed it out. Jesus Christ, guys.
What’s more, this is a news *blog*, not CNN.com. Fluff pieces like this fit blogs.

WTF? Did they spill coffee on page 2, and just went with 1 and 3?

I will never forgive Parsons for being in that horrible show Big Bang Theory. The men are all dweebs, the women all cute with squeaky voices. The IQ in the writing department is something that one can only speculate upon.
