The Wire’s Felicia “Snoop” Pearson Pleads Guilty To Heroin Charges

The Wire actress, Felicia “Snoop” Pearson (who played a character of the same name in the series), has plead guilty to conspiring to sell heroin. The openly lesbian got arrested earlier this year for allowing two heroin dealers to sell out of her apartment; police say that she dealt as well. She had been sentenced to seven years in prison, but she took a plea deal “to move on with her life” that suspends the sentence and keeps her under probation for the next three years.

Before her season of The Wire premiered in 2008, she said, “I hope I broke the mold for my gay people. Just let ’em know; you don’t have to hide it. People are gonna accept it or they gonna reject it. So what?” But just because you ran with drug-dealers on The Wire doesn’t mean you gotta now that the show’s over. Let’s hope Snoop finds another acting gig to keep her outta trouble!
