This August: World’s Largest Same-Sex Wedding

On August 1, Australia will attempt the largest same-sex mass wedding, with organizers hoping some 400 knot-tying couples will come together. It successful, the ceremony will also be the world’s largest invalid same-sex mass wedding: Since 2004, Australia has defined marriage as a union for one man and one woman.
