mainemap

After a same-sex marriage bill passed Maine’s Senate 21-14, the House takes up the bill today. Live video here. Continuing coverage here. Still no official word from Democratic Gov. John Baldacci on whether he’ll sign it if it hits his desk. But we’re expecting smooth sailing today, since the House bill has some 60 co-sponsors. NBC WCSH: “Marc Mutty of the Catholic Diocese of Portland said he and other opponents haven’t lobbied the house very aggressively, so he believes the vote is a ‘wild card.'”
